Wasn't there a picture on here that said Eastern Europe was warmer than usual this winter
Oymyakon, Russia is closer to Alaska than it is to Eastern Europe!

Cool but the cold snap is reported right across Russia through Siberia
Yes! And the physics of displacement was mocked.
I'm looking at 8C today, how about you? You are in lloydminster or Toontown?
Same temp. that was here last night
Parts of Siberia are Colder Than Minus 60 Degrees Fahrenheit, and It's Only November
'Serious temperature anomaly' in parts of Siberia, Russia
No.
This is a man made issue.

Earth's surface will almost certainly not warm up four or five degrees Celsius by 2100, according to a study released Wednesday which, if correct, voids worst-case UN climate change predictions.
A revised calculation of how greenhouse gases drive up the planet's temperature reduces the range of possible end-of-century outcomes by more than half, researchers said in the report, published in the journal Nature.

Climate forecasts are performed using software written for multimillion $$$ supercomputers.Erroneous data maybe. The whole idea behind the models is to predict, so "preconceived outcome" doesn't enter the picture. That is what leads to the ideas of fearmongering and whatnot. I think there are more variables than we know, so that is why models may be a bit off now and then.
Either way, like I said, it's pretty tough to argue with thermometers, so some data is quite accurate.
Another problem is interpretation of data, and that's a problem because of the variables, as well.
