Nope, we're used to this. After 90 years of Jim Crow, black Americans finally said "Enough." And we've been working on race relations ever since. Any sane person knows we've still got a long way to go, but any sane person also knows we've come a long, long way.

And after centuries (or millennia), women are finally saying "Enough." We'll work through that too.

Thanks for the reddie, Walter.

Your hatred of the U.S. and its people shows in the way you wish us ill. Too bad. We'll get through this just fine, and be a better country for it.

So suck on that, you bitter, hate-filled old Canadian jerk.

I am of course white, very pale they say, the light hurts us you know, nine months of the year the climate sucks good, and we,re forged into basicness, we have to eat your stored sunshine or we will lose the world to colourfull people> I don't know what to do we can't hide like the rest of you.

They say the Hubble Telescope is so powerful, scientists can look down from Space and see exactly what you're doing on your own front lawn!

And I'm thinking, Great! One MORE place I can't masturbate!

lol! :) Dang! I used to really bring it! No so much these days...gettin old.

With love from America.
Ah shucks. You shouldn't have.;-) but thanks anyhow ;-_)

Seriously....I was a tad stunned by one of your posts. You are usually calm , with smart input.

Is this a touchy subject?? Not intended to offend.

I posted it as it seems it is just one person after another ....... that is being "exposed"

Perhaps it is no longer a "mans world" in the way it has been Hopefully it will change into a genuine PEOPLE world........Where men and WOMEN will be more careful about their behavior.......

Power Money and Sex.

Trump is a free market ideologue. Obama was definitely not. So you will notice a change.

So is this sexual misconduct exposure just a phase that the American culture is going through ?

************

Charlie Rose has been fired from PBS.....and his show has been cancelled.

Have to admit: this one caught me by surprise.......... as he seemed so cerebral , asked intelligent questions....... and had intelligent capable people on his show.

Too bad.

All reporters regardless of their political stance should always be fair and objective. Rose is a well known Islamophobe and absolutely hates Robert Kennedy, Jr for his liberal views. He has always been a power hungry SOB so that it does not surprise me in the least that he has always been so two faced.

Hmm. Did not know that about Rose. Should have done more research on him as a person...

Thanks for the info Gopher. It helps build a profile of the man. Like the old adage: all is seldom as it appears.

The lack of morality that you are perceiving is only free market ideology. Free market ideology acts like nature. It doesn’t try to save everyone from natural consequences like communism will. With all it social programs to help people not have to suffer natural consequences.

Free market ideology seems cruel, but it’s not any cruel then nature. Free market ideologue believe that threw consequences humans achieve higher intelligence and dose who do not suffer.

Oh, there is nothing more moral than Communists and if you don't measure up to their metric of morality, you are either imprisoned or shot or both.

This one was a tad surprising. .(.being partial to PBS.}

This on top of the Judge Moore saga. And Franklin?? (that his name??) not to forget Trump himself

Various Hollywood sorts are surfacing as sexual perverts .

These are just the ones that have made the news. This behavior seems endemic now. (and probably has been for a long time....particularly with the rich and powerful.......who have the attitude of entitlement.

There have been pedophiles for as long as there have been preachers and little boys. As for all the famous and wanna bee famous that are being accused 30 years or so after the fact take those with a grain of salt. There is more to the story. After removing the gold diggers look at the context and what was consic=dered acceptable at the time.

Michigan Rep. John Conyers, a Democrat and the longest-serving member of the House of Representatives, settled a wrongful dismissal complaint in 2015 with a former employee who alleged she was fired because she would not “succumb to [his] sexual advances.”

Documents from the complaint obtained by BuzzFeed News include four signed affidavits, three of which are notarized, from former staff members who allege that Conyers, the ranking Democrat on the powerful House Judiciary Committee, repeatedly made sexual advances to female staff that included requests for sexual favors, contacting and transporting other women with whom they believed Conyers was having affairs, caressing their hands sexually, and rubbing their legs and backs in public. Four people involved with the case verified the documents are authentic.

Ah...so then you are a Conyers' camp supporter...

And the documents also reveal the secret mechanism by which Congress has kept an unknown number of sexual harassment allegations secret: a grinding, closely held process that left the alleged victim feeling, she told BuzzFeed News, that she had no option other than to stay quiet and accept a settlement offered to her.

“I was basically blackballed. There was nowhere I could go,” she said in a phone interview. BuzzFeed News is withholding the woman’s name at her request because she said she fears retribution.

Last week the Washington Post reported that Congress’s Office of Compliance paid out $17 million for 264 settlements with federal employees over 20 years for various violations, including sexual harassment. The Conyers documents, however, give a glimpse into the inner workings of the office, which has for decades concealed episodes of sexual abuse by powerful political figures.

Showbiz has always been known to have a seedy-side. None of this
surprises me. The only difference these days is social media and people willing to speak out.

In Canada the communist will automatically brand you a racist bigoted sexist. But its basically the same. Judged and sentenced.
