No, they cannot do that! It's not their fault!

This list is not complete, but the government needs to ban the following:

knives (all types)
poison
any electrical or gas powered devices such as lawn mowers, snowblowers, chain saws, weed whackers, hedge trimmers, etc.
(municipal, provincial employees must be trained and licensed to use ANY power tool!)
All bats (baseball, cricket, etc.)
hockey sticks
pucks, tennis balls
firearms
gas BBQs
razor blades
steel toed shoes, except for authorized areas, signing authority req'd
glass/ceramic/plaster windows, cups, ornaments
hand tools - specifically, screwdrivers, files, chisels, drill bits, planers
power tools - specifically, circular saws, jig saws, drills (corded & cordless), variants
swimming, especially diving
ice skating
building supplies (unless licensed to possess and use) 2x4s, bricks, cement, nails, tacks, etc

etc.

If these dangerous objects and activities are banned, incidents involving death or assaults will plummet.

The government should consider annual mental health checks for every member of the family (paid for through by provincial health plan)

This is only a partial list to consider. Think of the children and the innocent before you dismiss this.

We know that if these things did not exist, there would be no murders or assaults. Teens are crazy because they pass these objects at the store every day!

Think of the mental bruising that occurs to teens walking through the power tool aisle at Canadian Tire! Or the constant reminder of violence when a teen goes to a sports store to buy a pair of shorts or shoes and sees baseball bats, spikes or hockey sticks!

The assault on their underdeveloped brains is enormous! For god's sake, think of the children!

Charlie Roses sexual misconduct was widespread at CBS and three managers were warned, Post investigation finds

Incidents of misconduct by Charlie Rose were far more numerous than previously known, according to a new investigation by The Washington Post, which also found three occasions over a period of 30 years in which CBS managers were warned of his conduct toward women at the network.

An additional 27 women 14 CBS News employees and 13 who worked with him elsewhere said Rose sexually harassed them. Rose describes the new allegations as unfair and inaccurate.

The new allegations follow a November report from The Post on Roses behavior at his namesake PBS program, in which eight women accused the TV star of misconduct. Rose issued an apology. His PBS show was canceled, and he was fired from CBS News.

Kennedy Center rescinds two high-profile awards given to Bill Cosby, a first for the arts center

The entertainer, who was recently convicted on three counts of sexual assault, will no longer be recognized as a recipient of the Kennedy Center Honors or the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. These are the first awards the national arts center has rescinded in its history. [H]is actions have overshadowed the very career accomplishments these distinctions from the Kennedy Center intend to recognize, the Kennedy Center said in a statement.

Cosby has been stripped of many honorary degrees by colleges and universities across the country and last week was expelled by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
