We don't always put up statues to important people in history. There are no statues of Hitler or Mussolini anywhere in Europe so far as I know. The problem with statues of former Confederate generals is that they were the South's way of saying "Our cause was just," which it manifestly wasn't, and they also served as reminders that the racist philosophy that these men fought for was still alive.

If you think slavery was "their cause" you are vastly uninformed. ( I put that politely)
That has been totally disproved many times ( with quotes from all involved) - it IS the current position of the party of slavery, the democrats though, but it is really an example of how totally delusional and completely dishonest they actually are.

This is about brain dead stupidity and cultural genocide and race division an keeping everyone occupied with stupid crap...

Trump Hasn’t Tweeted When a U.S. Soldier Died in Six Months

Trump Hasn

He would rather berate someone on his staff or someone who criticized him in his ugly bellicose way.( or anyone that dares t o take attention away from him......)

********

Bannon is gone now too. The casualty list just keeps growing. Kellyh indicates he is not the last.

Well one fact is established: the ONE skill that Trump has and abuses is FIRING people. It comes right in front of his nasty berating of others on Twitter. A very narrow * limited skill set for a POTUS.

Trump is rapidly becoming the dear leader with minimal staff that might question/criticize him. Notice a similarity to Kim??

It is quite astonishing to watch this unfold.

That Trump bothers you so much.

That is part of it allright. Also Trump represents all that is wrong with US politics. Neither party has had a decent leader in decades and unless there are some drastic changes to the status quo there will not be for some time to come.

Better dump a few thousand statues thru out Europe then as Romans, Greeks, Eygiptians all had slaves. QUit trying to make history fir today's PC utopia. The vast majority of Confederate soldiers didn't even have slaves and many were little better off than the slaves. The war between the states was a power struggle. Slavery was introduced by the north as a cause to work up public opinion to raise an army.

Regardless . At the time the south thought they had to go to war , they did and lost . If they hadn't lost this conversation would not be happening .Trying to erase history will not change it . Btw unlike you I am defending no position , and am just commenting on forum . In 1939 many people thought the Nazi's were the next best thing to sliced bread .
You are defending maintaining statues that lionize enemies of the United States on American ground.

I expect Clinton to be facing charges any day now.

I think Donald had her pretty well pegged during the campaign...............maybe she'll come to realize she should have listened better, when he told her she should be in jail. :)

Regardless of Hillary's warts........SHE had Donald pegged for his being unsuitable for president. She was right: He does not have the disposition for the job. He is proving her right daily.

Now that Bannon is free again.........look out.

You still banging away on that broken drum when your hero is about to go down in disgrace?

Are you really that oblivious?

White House fears Bannon may go on the attack

White House worries newly ousted Steve Bannon will attack from the outside | McClatchy Washington Bureau

Bannon unleashed. Could get really interesting.

White house situation: volcanic

Can Kelly get things under some kind of control?? What is really crazy is that Washington is behaving like some third world nation.

What /who is the BIGGEST threat to AMERICA these days??: TRUMP. but many of the population must still be sleep walking not to see it.

I guess a lot depends on what you deem is the right disposition. There's probably been quite a few suitable Presidents with varying dispositions. My personal opinion is Trump is better suited than Hillary. She's a flake..................Donald is not perfect by any means but he speaks his mind (which may end up being his "Waterloo")

His unfiltered mouth is one of his biggest problems. If his words are representative of his "mind".........then he has a vile mind indeed. His mind as it comes out of his mouth is a very poor example for a leader, ......and it is showing its effects by the kind of groups that are ememerging from under their rocks as his "mind" speaks to them.

Kinda surprised to see you describe Hillary as a flake. I see her a heck of a lot steadier , calmer , more objective, more knowledgeable and a lot more experienced ........and as a result fit for the job. ( out of the two of them.

His mind/mouth combination has no diplomatic skills or basic tact. ......and is shameful as a representative of america on the world stage. He is embarrassingly boorish . at least she has some intelligence and sophistication. ( Not denying that she has issues.......but we should be looking at QUALIFICATIONS.......... and he is the least qualified for the job .

The big question is WHY on earth would a population of a modern nation vote for someone so poorly qualified. and emotionally UNABLE??

All he has achieved in the past six months is fire a bunch of staff.........create tension on the planet. antagonize just about anyone and everyone with his vile verbiage, make threats as a diplomatic tactic. and spend countless hours on Twitter. That does not begin to cover how he has degraded Americas status on the planet.

Don't Americans have any expectations of their leader?? Don't they want their leader to be able to comport himself with a degree of dignity and decorum?? ....And articulate his thoughts and ideas in an effective way with a good command of the language??

Or are their expectations of their leader so low now that they will accept anyone?? with no requirements or prerequisites

Oh, and slavery was not a primary cause of the US civil War? Try your historical revisionism somewhere else. I note that as usual you can't find any sources to back up your position.

That is part of it allright. Also Trump represents all that is wrong with US politics. Neither party has had a decent leader in decades and unless there are some drastic changes to the status quo there will not be for some time to come.

Stupid reply. We are talking 20th Century history here, as most of the Confederate statues were put up after 1901. And somehow I don't think statues from societies that existed two millennia or more ago have any bearing on this issue. Find another straw to grasp. And try reading a history of the US Civil War - I think you will find "No Slavery = No War."

Wait a minute - you are saying that someone who is completely unqualified to be president is not a "flake?" And that Clinton - a woman who held senior positions in government was less qualified? I wouldn't want you as my personnel manager.

"Completely unqualified?"
Says who? You?
:)
That's a good indication he IS qualified.

You represent your favorites - communists and nazis ( all your positions are their basic party platforms), so in that sense. NO he is NOT qualified.

No, not like Hillary is qualified, that's why Trump beat her out of her selection.

...and speaking of "selections" which you also support (obviously) instead of elections (which Trump won), makes your position reprehensible when compared to similar governments, and the people they have murdered over the years, after they accepted the types of political conditions YOU favor.
Like the murders committed by communist leaders on their own people which is in the hundreds of millions.
Which you unquestionably support too while claiming the moral high ground, which is insane.
What kind of monster would support that?

Your definition of qualified to be president:
You are racist if you don't accept being grubered over obama care.
Geez "grubered" is now a phrase in the urban dictionary meaning to be screwed by a liar.
(BTW, American life expectancy has dropped since obama care... but that's success in your book )

BTW ever since Hal Turner the racist radio host was busted working for the FBI IN COURT, we have known the FBI runs the white supremacists, and ever since the fbi was busted in court creating terrorists we know they have lied about all those busts too. Just like Mueller needed immunity after what he did after 911, which we now know was completely crooked.

So you anti democracy, ...oooops, I mean anti Trump guys, can't even lie well enough to produce even the appearance of a qualified president.

No , they want to drain the swamp , and if the news spent any time covering actual events you would know that there are less federal employees in Washington now . Not a great amount , but cuts are starting .
And how do you like the supreme court justice that has been confirmed ?

"Completely unqualified to be President"? Besides "holding" senior positions, what has Hillary ACTUALLY done that would qualify her to be President. Trump is definitely a little short in the speech department, but it's mainly others who hold him back from getting things done. The depths of his proposed changes may be a little unreasonable but he's probably the best thing we've seen in 100 years. The "rough edges" will get smoothed down in time.
