That is debatable. MF's position is it does. Those that have argued for the carbon tax believe it does. MF claims the carbon tax is effective. I'm just trying to get clarification. My understanding is that global warming continues.
To me, this is akin to having a gun violence problem in the US and having Medicine Hat passing a law creating a 100℅ tax on ammunition sold in the municipality. Its nice to pat yourself on the back and tell yourself you're making a difference but any objective individual knows better.
There are a number of influences on climate, both human and natural.
With the information we have available to us right now, the most affective one is anthropogenic.
Interesting point above...are emissions produced abroad from fuel sourced in Canada attributed to Canada or the emitting country? Is there any recognition given to us as a GHG enabler?
