I listened to the Trump clip about 25 times today and what he said was completely out of line. It is just another example of the diarrhea that falls out of his mouth. It sounded more like a joke, but it was still an extremely stupid thing to say. Whether he meant it or not is irrelevant, the United States is not some third world republic where candidates make comments like this. I find it hard to believe that anyone would defend this stupidity. This man has ****ed the Republican Party and saddled the United States with the next sitting President; Hillary Clinton.

Congratulations to his defenders.

I think a lot of 'defenders' are missing the point.

Whether Trump meant what he said or not doesn't matter. Whether he said it as a joke or not doesn't matter. Sane people know Trump is a damned moron at best, a dangerous, fearful, biggoted cheezie at worst.

The point is he has followers who will take it to mean that yes, someone should assassinate Hillary.

That is what the real issue behind this is and should be the focus of.

While Hillary may be a not great person, she truly is the lesser of the very, very tangible evil that Trump is. This is a man who advocates murder, who thinks he can get away with murder, who is a sexist and racist pig and doesn't care what people think, he's a liar, a thief and even a possible traitor.

Anyone who supports him as the "ideal" person for President of the US, is not only, IMO, questionably insane themselves, but also nowhere near what an "American" is supposed to be.

What he said was genius. It was a seed alright. What media inferred and planted in heads was a creation. He showed how manipulative the media is and how easily the media can be manipulated.

Is it any wonder that the U.S. is 37th in the world in education? The ability to apply critical thinking at a time like this is paramount. But then, it would not take a great deal of thinking for anyone with reason to see that Trump is a fraud of the highest order. The emaciation of the educational system int he U.S. has created a population who is self-involved, self-ingratiating, "all about me" thinking and they identify with this embarrassment of a candidate. You have to be mentally decrepit to agree with Trump. This clearly shows that the U.S. is in a lot of trouble when it cannot even deal with a carnival barker like Trump.
