Re: Trump suggests assassinating Clinton

The FBI tweeted; We are aware of Trump's comments. Carol Costello (CNN commentator) asks, "What does that MEAN?"
Perfect example of how statements get twisted and misconstrued!
Here's what they do: "He said, ........, but what did he REALLY mean?" Doesn't anybody know what 'aware' means? And if the FBI meant something else why didn't they say what they mean?
Political correctness is to blame for this foolishness. It's like when the police say, '...a person of interest'; they can't come right out and say, 'a suspect'. What dog-gammed foolishness!
Jeez! The world's gone crazy!

I think Dr. Seuss should be required reading. As in 'Horton Hears a Who', "I meant what I said and I said what I meant. An elephant's faithful/truthful 100%"

That reminds me of a song that got pulled out by the author/Signer in '91 because of political correctness, Her career went downhill after that...
Today she would would have been tarred and feathered.....

Then I stand corrected. Somebody (probably a large number) should be canned for not doing their job!

To put this whole charade in perspective..........is what he said any worse than if I made the statement- "Trump or Hillary could get assassinated before this is over".? And actually that is a pretty true statement!

Re: Trump suggests assassinating Clinton

Even if Trump was referring to the voting power of the NRA, it's easy to see how some could misinterpret it as a call to arms.

One would hope that the President of the USA would know how to choose his words more carefully to avoid such dangerous ambiguities.
A couple of more months before he is elected to that position.

Not much of an uproar about 'the other side' calling for assassination of people without there being any doubt about what is being said in plain English.
Democratic Strategist Calls For The Assassination Of Julian Assange | Zero Hedge

Amid the media-hyped furor over Donald Trump's 2nd Amendment comments and Wikileaks' suggestions about the untimely death of DNC-staffer Seth Rich, we thought it perhaps of note that Democratic strategist, and CNN host, has publicly called for the "illegal assassination of that son-of-a-bitch" Julian Assange...
Met Bob Beckel - Democratic strategist, CNN host (former Fox host), and clear "treasonous, traitor" Assange-hater...

This strikes us as very dangerous talk... We wonder if he is being questioned or investigated for such a public and unquestionable demand for someone to be murdered? Forget due process... "just kill the son of a bitch."

Re: Trump suggests assassinating Clinton

Trump is in charge of nothing but his business , Trudeau is PM of our country . Big difference in my books .

Who is running for the highest position of political power in the US. And as I said, as questionable as Trudeau is, he's nowhere near Trump's level of crazy.

Yup and president McCain or Romney . Your disdain for Trump is just an outlet for your disdain for all things conservative .
Trump in all his years as a media darling was never once called a racist , yet now I can't pick up a newspaper without seeing racist all over it .
You would have the same rabid hatred for whomever the republicans choose as nominee .

I'm not sure if I should laugh at this or what. Disdain for all things conservative? Wow...

No, I don't. I have a disdain for crazy effin people trying to get into power that could start WWIII, who say they can get away with murder (and a lot of other things), who IS a racist and misogynist, who IS a liar, and who is saying ANYTHING he wants to get what he thinks will win him the position.

As for 'rabid hatred' of anyone the republicans selected... no. If they had someone sensible and a true republican run, that'd be a different story. Sadly they don't have anyone like that. I do have a serious disgust/dislike for Trump because I look at the man and I see trouble not just for the US, but all the world if he gets into power. Rabid hatred though is stretching it by a lot.

As for Cruz... he's just a little less psycho than Trump.

But there are some decent Republican's out there which does give me hope they'll survive this and take back their party from the wackadoodles.

One reason I dislike Hillary is that she's pretty much a lie for what party she's really a part of. IMO, she's Republican - Republican Light but still Republican.

Of the four celebrities you mentioned I'm damn sure double plus positive that trudeau is the sickest by a long shot. He's been conditioned from a very young age by some very old people.

Re: Trump suggests assassinating Clinton

How do you get that it's about resistance to a corrupt government? Nothing in the Amendment refers to that.

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
That is anarchy at it's 'finest' but it is the last stage. The first stage is public protests, that is as far as it went when an end to the Vietnam War was the 'whole goal'. Protests can be government workers taking days off (in protest) as well as public servants like Police refusing to issue any citations that are to fill the coffers of the city/state.
To suggest that armed conflict is the only stage it shows just what the ones in power would be willing to do if they see no other way his statement could be taken. That alone should get them added to some sort of Minority Report list as what they will be doing should Trump be elected.

Trump Just Told His Supporters That Assassinating Hillary Clinton Is An Option

Donald Trump suggested that one of his supporters could shoot Hillary Clinton to stop her from picking Supreme Court justices if she is elected president.

Trump said, “By the way, if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do folks. Although, the Second Amendment people maybe there is. I don’t know.”

Donald Trump’s defenders will immediately claim that he was “joking,” but Trump’s comments certainly didn’t sound like a joke. There was no laughter. Trump didn’t say he was kidding. What Donald Trump was doing was suggesting that someone assassinate Hillary Clinton.

Even if Trump was joking, no one, especially not a major party presidential nominee, should joke about a presidential candidate being shot. Trump could provoke an assassination attempt against Hillary Clinton.

I think the title of this thread should be renamed as the title is a misnomer and is a completely irresponsible title for the thread. He alluded to the second amendment and that was all. If anyone rereads what he said I'm sure the word assassination or any other metaphor for murder wasn't mentioned. Some people have to come down to earth and forget the histrionics!

I think Trump is still in the stage where he is "pulling people's chains", he's going to get serious sometime between now and Nov. 8 then watch out! "Crazy" can be functional while "stupid" can not! :)
