No Anna the Liberals are not the naturally governing party they are merely tolerated as opposed
to the other two parties right now. The Liberals are finally out of the political penalty box as it were.
I think for better or worse the refugee situation played a role in the election because many people
especially young people were in favor of helping the refugees.
I have two pretty conservative adult grand kids and both were in favor of reaching out and in the
end one voted Liberal the other voted NDP but they both abandoned the Tories because of their
attitude on a variety of subjects but this was one of them

All the "refugees" flooding into Europe are Muslim, and most of those are Sunni. If we bring in "refugees" they should be the minorities that will continue to be persecuted long after ISIS is defeated.

Saving refugees can hardly be the goddamn job when we are actively participating in creating the same refugees.

I think they're called "collateral damage" aren't they? Except this time the world is attempting to help them where they can instead of turning their backs. Well, that's one way to look at it. There's other ways...less generous ways.
I've read that there are both. Most are refugees but there are a few who are just being...opportunistic. There was an interview on the radio the other day with a gentleman from Pakistan who'd opted to take this opportunity to seek a better life elsewhere.
I had to take the translators word, since this gentleman was not speaking english. How many of them amongst the refugees is anybodies guess though.
For sure Grumpy- Typical emotional knee jerk reaction, with absolutely no inkling about all that's involved. I think if Justin doesn't steer off that course pretty quick, his entire tenure is going to derail. There won't be enough coins in the bank for health care, for policing, let alone to feed and house them. It's just one big total disaster in the making. Surely folks can see that!
