We won't save refugees by destroying our own country

erm I think if we ever decided to have anyone outside our family living here, it would be have to be someone rational enough to accept that hubby is atheist and I am agnostic as well as being bisexual. We are also are meat-eaters (including pork) and have dogs that are a part of our family.

I honestly don't see how it could be that complicated. For example, we don't eat meat, but if the guest wants to eat meat, he could buy and cook his own.

We're not homosexual, but as long as he doesn't involve us in his sexual activities, that's his business.

I think the main issue is house rules, such as sharing the cleaning, keeping the noise down and such.

No, it is not complicated. It is quite simple; I do not want to invite someone into our home that would be offended by almost everything we do.

Now that's a different matter. I guess as long as they know the rules and agree to them beforehand.

Depends. Not all Muslims understand their text in the same way.

But you're right that the vast majority would have a problem with that.

You definitely wouldn't want to surprise them with your dogs.

'By the way, we forgot to mention...'

You're assuming of course that these guys speak English, don't have any medical or social conditions or addictions and aren't kleptomaniacs or sex maniacs etc. etc. etc. Better just to build them a place and pay someone else to run it. That way you can sleep at night with both eyes closed.

really...... interesting. So that's what you want for your house, but not for Canada.

oh, and don't bother denying. I'm not about to waste my time on this one.

I morally oppose homosexual acts. I vacillate on where I stand on it legally.

So while I would have no problem hosting a homosexual, he'd just have to respect the house rules.

No I would not appreciate him engaging in such activities in my house, but I wouldn't spy on him either. What he does outside would be his business.

Funny how so many people are for bringing in extra refugees over and above the 10% of the global refugees we take in every year, but none of them plan on actually doing something personally. Even those that say, "I would, but...", are full of sh*t.
If you're not willing to put your money where your mouth is, then shut the hell up about how WE have to do something about it.

Strategic Engineered Migration as Weapon of War

Who is providing guarantees that encourage hundreds of thousands of people to rush from other continents to Europe and why?
Researchers have discovered a very interesting fact related to the use of social networking sites [1]. It has come to light that calls on Twitter for refugees to travel to Germany have mostly come from the US. The time spent practising in other countries has not been in vain – from Iran during the 2009 presidential elections to Egypt and Tunisia, where the role played by social networking sites in mobilising the population was considerable.
What we are seeing now is the practical implementation of theoretical calculations of a strategic nature

What we are seeing now is the practical implementation of theoretical calculations of a strategic nature. Such strategies have been under development for a long time. One of them is a study by the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University that bears the name «Strategic Engineered Migration as a Weapon of War», which the author also uses for the title of this article. The study was first published in 2008 in the Civil Wars journal

"McCallum says the reinstatement signals a “compassionate, humane and helpful” approach to refugee health care, a service that was stripped of coverage such as dental work, prosthetics and medication under the Conservatives in 2012 as a way to save taxpayers money."
Aszholes. I have to pay for my dental work and medication. Healthcare doesn't cover that for me. Or eye exams or glasses either for that matter. What about the “compassionate, humane and helpful” approach for regular Canadians?
