Trump repeats that he'll 'never' eat Oreos again, citing production shift to Mexico

NEW YORK -- Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump repeated his claim Tuesday evening that he would stop eating Oreos, citing the cookie maker's decision to close a plant in Chicago and move it to Mexico.
"I'm never eating Oreos again," Trump said, before adding that he would consider it if he could find some that were made in the U.S.
Trump's claim is partly true.
Oreo's parent company Mondelez International Inc. said last month that it decided to invest $130 million in building four new production lines at a plant in Mexico, which will replace nine older production lines at its Chicago plant.
That will mean the number of jobs at the Chicago plant will go from about 1,200 to about 600, said Laurie Guzzinati, a Mondelez representative. But the plant in Chicago will remain open.
Guzzinati said the decision to invest in the Mexico plant came after discussions with union representatives for workers at the Chicago plant. She said the company determined that the new production lines would cost $46 million less per year in Mexico than in Chicago, and said labour was "one of many factors."
Guzzinati noted that Oreos continue to be made in some U.S. plants, including in New Jersey, Oregon and Virginia.
The Mondelez plant in Salinas, Mexico, opened in late 2014, and the four additional production lines are expected to be completed by mid-2016. Two of those lines will make Oreo cookies, Guzzinati said.
Mondelez, which also makes Chips Ahoy cookies and Trident gum, has said its "supply chain reinvention plan" is part of its broader push to slash costs and improve productivity.

The billionaire businessman, who's currently leading the polls for the GOP nomination, was praised recently by David Duke, an infamous white supremacist who called the GOP frontrunner the "best of the lot" among presidential candidates.

"Although we can't trust him to do what he says, the other Republican candidates won't even say what he says," Duke said last week on his radio show, according to Buzzfeed, praising Trump's outspoken opposition to illegal immigration. "So he's certainly the best of the lot. And he's certainly somebody that we should get behind in terms, ya know, raising the image of this thing."

Trump was asked Wednesday about Duke's praise, and he distanced himself from the white supremacist.

"I don't need his endorsement; I certainly wouldn't want his endorsement," Trump said during an interview with Bloomberg News on Wednesday. "I don't need anyone's endorsement."

When he was asked whether he would flat-out reject Duke's support, Trump replied, "Sure, I would if that would make you feel better."

He wasn't surprised by Duke's kind words, however.

"A lot of people like me," Trump explained. "Republicans like me, liberals like me. Everybody likes me."

Trump doesn't need Duke's endorsement because he's already locked down the racist POS vote.

Supporters tell horrified GOP pollster why they trust Trump to make America great again: ‘It’s on his hat’

“We know his goal is to make America great again,” one woman said. “It’s on his hat, and we see it every time it’s on TV. Everything that he’s doing, there’s no doubt why he’s doing it — it’s to make America great again.”

Luntz showed the participants recordings of Trump insulting women, bragging about himself and reversing his previous positions on a variety of topics — but the vast majority said they only liked him more after watching the videos.

“Nothing disqualifies Trump,” Luntz said afterward.

The pollster was breathless as he met with reporters who had watched the focus group from behind one-way mirrors, saying the findings were “significant” and mind-blowing, reported Time.

“This is real,” Luntz said. “I’m having trouble processing it. Like, my legs are shaking.”

“I want to put the Republican leadership behind this mirror and let them see,” he added. “They need to wake up. They don’t realize how the grassroots have abandoned them. Donald Trump is punishment to a Republican elite that wasn’t listening to their grassroots.”

People like Donald Trump because he says the things they're thinking and the things other Republican candidates are afraid to say. He isn't "telling it like it is", because the things he says are not "like it is" but it is what his supporters think. So if he tells them what he wants them to hear, what is it that he's saying? The things he says are bullying, racist and misogynistic. This is what Donald Trump represents. This is the ideology of a large base of the Republican party. It's the party of bullies, racists and misogynists. It took Donald Trump to prove it.

Mr . Luntz obviously doesn't get the great unwashed masses love of the Trumpster just like our chattering class never understood the appeal of the Ford .
But then they try to speak for the little people .

Trump convinces woman his hair is real

It's real, and it's spectacular.
Donald Trump invited a woman on stage during a speech Thursday to feel his hair to prove it's real.
"I don't wear a toupee!" the Republican presidential hopeful pleaded to the audience, after reading a snippet from a New York Times article that referred to him in Spanish as "the man of the toupee."
"It's my hair," he said.
That's when he called up a woman from the audience to "do an inspection."
He asked her not to "mess it up too much" because he uses hairspray.
After she touched the back of his head and briefly looked at his scalp, he asked her if it's real, and pointed to the microphone.
The woman leaned in and said: "Yes, I believe it is."
It's hardly the first time Trump has had to address the issue of his outlandish blond swoop. Barbara Walters famously asked him about it during a television interview and he allowed her to check as well.
