I knew in advance and even put it in my post that you would be too dense to get the analogy..
You probably didn't get the post just before your last

He takes his musket against a company of the King's, he's pretty much f*cked.
William Pitt in 1763, speaking in the British Parliament:
"The poorest man may in his cottage bid defiance to all the forces of the Crown. It may be frail, its roof may shake; the wind may blow through it; the storms may enter, the rain may enter,—but the King of England cannot enter; all his forces dare not cross the threshold of the ruined tenement."

In other words, "a man's home is his castle" is completely unrelated to gun ownership. Anybody who thinks different has an action-movie view of life.

As far as the cops are concerned (pretty well right across Canada) the perception of the R.C.M.P. and cops in general dropped to a whole different level after Oct. 2007 when the immigrant was tasered to death (murdered) at Vancouver Airport. Every little faux pas from now on just drives the perception a little lower. It will be decades before they will be able to regain their previous level of respect. It's too bad the majority have to suffer because of a few "rotten apples" but that's life.
Most of the rotten apples are at the top.
Any closer to agreement guys? Once you do, please start the summary thread so I can read your final common ground so I can present it to my MP. We wouldn't all this effort go to waste.
What is the question, again? Free and unfettered weapons ownership for all?

Is there at least a limit on kiloton/megaton yield or is that determined by whatever is on sale at True Valu that week?No one except me is advocating free and unfettered weapons ownership, and I'm only advocating it for the U.S.
Depends on whether you're gonna use it domestically or in Canada. Is there at least a limit on kiloton/megaton yield or is that determined by whatever is on sale at True Valu that week?
That tells volumes about police culture if the rotten ones are selected for advancement over the honest ones.
