Bush was just another president, in many ways just like most of the other presidents. He did some good things and he did some bad things. People just have to have a dog to kick. Now it's being transferred to Obama. People can be fickle at times!
I know but people project their disgust of all things conservative onto Bush .
I would like for once to hear some actual reasoning behind this .
Every one I know think Bush is a moron , is not a reason .

Please explain exactly why Bush was the most inept clueless president .

Personally I Thought he was great.."Either your with US or with the Terrorists."

He had the cajones to go it alone without International support. That is a leader of a STRONG country.

Most people just hate him and ridicule him because he's Republican, and they can't look at the positive points. Words are cheap, the man was successful in businesses, he is a millionaire and he was elected as President Of the United States.

Before you verbally attack him, what is your accomplishments and resume look like, have you made your mortgage payment this month?"

Oh ya, just to break up a Gun Control Thread with a cool Music Video.. POWER!!

I think that was covered in my last sentence. Most people that you know probably don't think. These guys all have a job to do and advisors they have to follow. I'm not sure was percentage of the decisions are made by them but I'd bet it's small. Bush's popularity went in the toilet sometime after Saddam's statue was knock off its pedestal and by the time the insurgents took hold. Instead of thinking conservative and liberal I tend to think in terms of will it work? or won't it? There's certainly nothing wrong with being conservative (thrifty) with money.

I was actually asking bluebird , But I like the will it or won't it work part .
Sadly partisan politics give us broken and when that doesn't work double down and throw more money at it .

Well, let's see, G.W.Bush's presidency was marked by war, debt and economic recession. The first term Florida swung the election for him and Jed Bush his brother was Governor of that state at the time. There was a huge backlash at the time because of rigging of the voting machines.

G.W. Bush's 2000 & 2004 Election Conspiracy | Scoop News

The second election followed the same scenario but with the swing state being a northern state. I forget exactly the state and by then it was obvious what was happening.

When he left office the US had a multi-trillion dollar deficit. Further more he avoided active service in Vietnam by joining the National Guard. His handling of Katrina was disgraceful. This is just a sampling of his terms in office.

Orlando teen shoots intruder in grandparents' home, police say

ORLANDO, Fla. —An Orlando teen is being called a hero after shooting an intruder in his grandparents’ home, according to police.

Investigators said Reagan Quade, 21, burst through the Shuster family’s door Sunday morning.

"I just heard the door slam shut at 2 a.m. and I knew that wasn't right,” said 17-year-old Neal Shuster.

Neal Shuster’s wheelchair-bound grandmother, Linda Shuster, said it took her a moment to realize what was happening.

"It dawned on me, that is not Neal. And neither of us could do anything to help,” she said.

Linda’s disabled husband, Robert Shuster, said he gave his grandson clear instructions on what to do when Quade allegedly charged at the teen.

"I said, ‘Neal, shoot him. Don't let him hurt you,’” Robert Shuster said.

“He’s grabbing me, and my grandpa is yelling, ‘Shoot him.' So I shot him,” Neal Shuster said.

The teen shot an unarmed Quade in the stomach and then called 911, police said.

Quade, who is expected to survive, was taken to a hospital and placed into a medically induced coma. He is charged with burglary.

“When someone comes in like that. You don't know what to do,” Linda Shuster said. She and her husband believe that without their grandson the worst could have happened.

“I'm just glad he's here,” Robert Shuster said.

Neal Shuster said he simply did what he needed to do.

Too bad he isn't around the Washington Naval Yard this morning which is in lockdown, because of shots fired. It seems to be a challenge to attack Military Installations.

The last time this happened (Sept 2013 A contractor (Aaron Alexis) a single shooter killed 12 and injured 3 before being killed.

You do realize most of those single shootings you keep posting, could have been stopped without using a gun. You know like the neighbor in Canada that stopped a would be rapist with a baseball bat. If that home invasion person has been armed and hadn't hesitated, as that young man did, all three in your story, would be dead.

My stance is about making sure those with either criminal records or mental problems not be given access to guns.

Best to err on the side of caution, the perpetrator should thank the guy for giving him a gut shot instead of a heart or head shot.

The Washington Naval Yard report of gunshots produced a huge response. Fortunately, it seems to have been a hoax or a misinterpretation of the noise. All is back to normal. No gunman and no evidence of shots fired.

JLM The poor teenager hesitated, the gut shot was totally unplanned.

That would mean no guns for government employees. OK I can work with that.

They say a leaky lifeboat is better than the backstroke if you're in a shipwreck....
Would you go on a cruise on a ship with no lifeboats...?
Before you Pooh pooh my post.....it's just as relevant as your baseball bat!

Governor Bryant signs new concealed carry bill | WREG.com

JACKSON, Miss. — Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant signed a bill that would allow residents to carry a concealed gun in a purse, briefcase or other fully enclosed satchel without a state-issued license.

The bill also specifies that disabled veterans, people on active-duty military service and current or honorably retired law enforcement officers don’t need a license to carry a concealed weapon.

Supporters cast the bill as a matter of safety for women who want to carry a gun in a purse without having to get a license.

Bryant also signed a bill which allows active duty military, veterans and honorably retired law enforcement officers to substitute their military service for the state-required eight-hour training course to obtain the enhanced carry endorsement.

In Mississippi, permit holders that complete the training course and receive an endorsement can bring their handguns everywhere except for police stations, jails, courtrooms and federal property regardless of gun free zone signs.

Because we believe in private property and the right to tell people what they may and may not do on our property.

LOL, you do suggest the most ridiculous scenarios. Been on a few cruises, and believe it or not, no leaky life boats. On a ship you are more likely to come down with Legionare;s Dlisease. before being involved in a shipwreck. The world, if you are reasonably watchful, is quite a nice place to visit. Mind you, I am always glad to come home, because it is the best place on earth. Reasonable gun laws!!
