There is a group called Christians for Zion out there and every now and then they
pop up like the locust of the field. This Social Conservative Movement believes
in supporting Israel over the Arabs to hasten Christs return. It will start with a fight
between the Arabs and Jews and spill over into the final act of the end times. When
the non believers are engaged in conflict Christ will return with the deaths of the
Jews, the Arabs and those of us who don't make the Jesus Team as it were.
Yes they are nuts but they are out there just like the other crazies and it makes you
wonder how they think they won't be just as dead as you and I.
Social Conservatism has reared its ugly head in places like Uganda and they keep
attempting to bring it everywhere. Evangelize the world, you know like the folks who
are trying to force Islam down the throats of the world.
I have respect though I disagree with fiscal conservatives at times but I have little
respect for dogmatic Social Conservatism in any event

Actually, those of us who are Conservatives support Israel because it is a tolerant democracy, an island of sanity in a sea of Islamist lunacy.

Israel is the frontier of western civilization, surrounded by savages.

Not everyone sees it that way. Harper is simply tapping into ethnic markets.

That makes no sense.

Jews make up 1% of Canada's population, and a very significant portion of that total are yellow dog Liberal voters.

Mulims make up 3.2% of Canada's population.

Harper can do math, so alienating 3.2% to sway less than 1% makes no sense.

I'm sitting with Jews right now having coffee in a Liberal/Dipper enclave. Ukrainian Jews. Harper needs Manitoba.

Location location location.

Look into the percentages of Jews and Ukrainians in Winnipeg and how they vote before you speak for people that you aren't.

The 2011 National Household Survey reported the religious make-up of Winnipeg as: 63.7% Christian, including 29.7% Catholic, 8.1% United Church, and 4.6% Anglican; 1.7% Muslim; 1.6% Jewish; 1.5% Sikh; 1.0% Hindu; 1.0% Buddhist; 0.3% traditional (aboriginal) spirituality; 0.4% other; and 28.7% no religious affiliation.[85]

Obviously something waaaay over your head.

I've got an idea that is unique and new....instead of playing coy, engaging in faux outrage over non-existent slights, and otherwise behaving like a petulant 13 year old girl, why don't you actually speak clearly about your problem?

Pretend I'm 5. Explain it to me.

I have to pretend?
