Two New York policemen 'assassinated'

WTF? Is that the 'Pick'n up the doggie do' glove? Does this
dude have some other weird appendage we're not seeing in
the pic that he needs to glove up in a 'tactical' manner?

For that matter, a degree in sociology is a hindrance to seeing pretty much anything clearly.
As opposed to liberal rose coloured glasses?

Or maybe it will lead to a re-thinking of police arms and tactics, and the community policing practices and different tactical approaches will help bring cops and communities closer together.
Killing never, ever, brings communities closer togther
I'd be interested in seeing those statistics. Then I'd point out nobody is "mostly guilty." You're either guilty or not. If, for example, 70% of young black men arrested are guilty, that does not make any given young black man 70% likely to be guilty. That is a misuse of statistics, based on malice or ignorance or both.
Guilt is proven in courts by percentages

Arresting young black men is one thing, killing unarmed young black men (or anybody else) is another. Nice try conflating the two, but no sale.
Sadly, in every police encounter, there is risk of critical incident. More encounters=more risk
There is NO perfect plan for a take down/arres
t.

Ever since the punk security guard got away with murder in Florida the State
Governments passed these new self defense laws more law officers are in
trouble or the victims as a target. And please lets not get into the personal
responsibility crap. People can be shot and wounded and arrested without
killing them Yes they are guilty of something robbing a convenience strore
should not mean a death sentence

damngrumpy, when someone is trying to kill you, you shoot where you can to stop the attack. The person shot deserved it simply as a consequence of the attack.

Did you watch the trial?

The defense's forensic pathologist was the guy that literally "wrote the book" on gunshot wounds and is foremost in his profession.

He blew the prosecution completely out of the water. No doubt Zimmerman's life was in danger, and no doubt he fired in self defense.

End of story.

Sleeper, WTF does international terrorism have to do with what we are talking about here?

If you want to include any of that, how about including the casualties arising from Bush's war which is being continued today at the insistence of the right wing? How about Hindu terrorist attacks on Muslims and Christians? How about Cheney's torture of innocent Muslims???

Mayor Bill de Blasio on Monday called for protesters to suspend demonstrations in the aftermath of the killing of two New York police officers, who were gunned down in Brooklyn as they sat in their patrol car.

“It’s time for everyone to put aside political debates, put aside protests, put aside all of the things that we will talk about in due time,” Mr. de Blasio said in a speech. “That can be for another day.”

The mayor’s call came a few hours after the police commissioner, William J. Bratton, said that the killing of the officers on Saturday was a “direct spinoff of this issue” of the protests that have roiled the nation in recent weeks.

The protests were born of frustration that black people are not treated fairly in the criminal justice system but the demonstrations have often focused broadly on police officers.

For weeks since a grand jury declined to indict a police officer in the death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., and a grand jury declined to indict a police officer in the death of Eric Garner on Staten Island, protesters have taken to the streets to call for reforms.

Not sure how white supremacists get labeled right wing. None of what they are promoting has anything to do with fiscal responsibility or good governance.

As long as they associate white supremacy with right wing and conservatism the libtards will have their Gruber voters focusing on anything but the real issues.

Listen to what these is idiot are chanting. :(

"What do we want? Dead Cops! Now!"

Another cop shooting in Florida.

The hands of the liberals racist are dripping with blood now.

If you want to include any of that, how about including the casualties arising from Bush's war which is being continued today at the insistence of the right wing? How about Hindu terrorist attacks on Muslims and Christians? How about Cheney's torture of innocent Muslims???

OK, so you clearly don't understand what "tactics expressly forbidden by your own department" means.

Seriously, false dichotomy is the best you can do?
Oh I clearly understand, do you understand what it feels like to have your life threatened and be restricted in your ability defend yourself without resorting to lethal force?
I don't suppose you would approve of the police going straight to shooting someone instead of using another method, albeit risky, to subdue someone?
A chokehold is effective, that's WHY they still do it!
I think you would sing a far different tune if you were afraid for your life from some truly bad people, you would be quite content to see the police beat the heck out of someone to save you.

She apologized and is now working with your friend Al Sharpton:

Kinda makes you wonder why the NYPD expressly forbids the chokehold, don't it?

By the way, please explain to me how Eric Garner was threatening the cops' lives?

I calculate you'll respond with several bushels of red herrings, talking about every incident you can think of EXCEPT the Garner incident.

Have at it.

Yeah, they talked some guy into moving from Baltimore to Brooklyn just to cause themselves some trouble.

Surely, you have got to be kidding.

That liberal hate speech has been spread far and wide by De Blasio and his racist shrills. Now the blood is on their hands.

Time for a recall.

Two minority cops cut down by a liberal racist.
