Canada should go for the same deal as China... Unlimited and unchecked growth for the next 20 years coupled with a non-binding handshake deal to maybe, possibly reduce emissions... No audits or uncomfortable questions allowed though.

Will that make you happy MF?

Oh, the China "deal"....what a laugh!! China needs do NOTHING until 2030, and now is blocking any move from environmentalists to inquire about process or progress over the intervening 15 years.....some deal!!

why do you continue to perpetuate this bullshyte? You know it's false, I've shown it to be false a brazillion times over... each and every time one of you purposeful misinformers throws down this "do NOTHING" nonsense... and yet you continue!

And now:

China rejects US-sought carbon pledge review at UN climate talks | South China Morning Post

Once again, Obama has proven himself an idiot.

As if the US Senate would pass any such foolishness anyway.

standard Colpy! Have you read the actual clause... it reads as if any country, any NGO... possibly even any environmental group, can simply throw a question/challenge to any country to review their plans. Considering there's 1.5 million NGO's in the U.S. alone... it's a stupidly written draft clause that needs to be improved on. In the recent U.S.-China agreement both countries agreed to allow each other the access to question/scrutiny each others plans/progress...

Meanwhile, David Suzuki still wants climate skeptics jailed (a la Galileo)

and yet another 'out of context' play by Colpy! Stay consistent Colpy, stay consistent!

You've shown nothing to be false, you've galloped off on a couple of idiotic tangents.....but that is about it.

Right....take China's side!! lol

BTW, the idiot non-agreement between the USA and China is going nowhere.........Obama is done like dinner.

And you are right (smelling salts for Waldo, please) about there being too many inquisitive NGOs prying into every nation's business.....but China is not trying to limit their bureaucratic responsibilities, they are trying to shut down all investigation and inquiry. It is a secretive, fascist cult running China.........one that just made a fool out of Obama.

And yes, the greatest party of mass murderers to ever exist on earth, the Chinese Communist Party, has rode the political spectrum from communism to fascism.

China is going to grow emission by huge leaps until 2030..........
You've shown nothing to be false, you've galloped off on a couple of idiotic tangents.....but that is about it.

ok Colpy... although repeating this graph will cause member 'taxi' to implode... it just needs to be done!

ya see... China can't keep on, as many claim, "doing nuthin" (aka Business-As-Usual (BAU)), and reach the peak pledge level (cutting its net carbon pollution between 2015 and 2030 by about 20 billion tons.)... notwithstanding as a part of the U.S.-China deal, China has pledged to increase the share of energy consumed from non-emissions sources like renewables, nuclear energy and hydro-electricity to 20 percent by 2030

in reality, on it's current trajectory, it is the U.S. pledge that will require the U.S. to do, relatively speaking, NOT MUCH MORE than maintain it's current BAU interests... to date, U.S. emissions are already 10–15% below 2005 levels (which aligns with the prior 2009 pledge Obama made to reach a 17% reduction by 2020... the same pledge Harper made but refused to even address). To date, U.S. emissions are falling by about 1.5% per year... for the U.S. to reach the pledged target of 26–28% emissions cuts below 2005 levels by 2025, the U.S. will only be required to continue its current ongoing rate of yearly emission reductions.

Ahh...he said politicians that do not act on what he calls "scientific evidence" should be jailed.

In other words, those that dare disagree with St. Suzuki should be jailed.........a la the Pope and Galileo.

And the idiot left actually swallows this crap whole.

Have another glass of kool-aid Dear.

Thanks for that!!

China's emissions go up, the emissions of the USA go down. Until Chinese emissions are 3 times those of the USA............that is IF the Chinese keep their word. Good luck with that.

Brilliant.

Oh US emissions of fallen solely due to the use of FRACKED NG..........something else the brain-dead left hates.

again... as you've been repeatedly apprised, the China of today is not your boogeyman China of 50-100 years ago! I mean, c'mon... you've been all about another of your 'out of context pays' concerning "JT's admiration of the Chinese dictatorship", and yet you turn a purposeful and self-serving blind-eye to Harper's absolute admiration and luvin for that Chinese Dick!

now you're just making shyte up! This latest clause that associates to a COP agreement... the one that has you in such a flap... that has nothing whatsoever to do with any underlying due diligence type monitoring of nation results on their commitments. I suggest you save yourself any further embarrassment and actually review the measures in prior agreements that actually deal with the practical mechanics of monitoring and confirming respective nations pledged emission reduction commitments.

Anyone that thinks nuclear is non emitting needs their head examined. Most dangerous energy source known to man.
Maybe that is why people like waldo are so down on carbon fuel. They got shares in the nu clear industry.

Yeah...tell it to Tibet, to the political prisoners, to those promised continued democracy in Hong Kong, to the Falun Gong, to the Christian church in China, to the Dalai Lama, to the dead of Tianamen Square.....your accusations against Harper mask you own lefty need to love dictatorship, just like your brain-dead hero, the guy who admires not just China, but that dictatorship.

Harper makes trade deals, the world being what it is, he is doing the best for our economy.

Trudeau praises mass murderers.
