Ahh...you're confused.

It is Justin that loves Communist dictators.

Not Harper.

you're sure fixated on that purposely tailored and incomplete quote. Here's a thought: why don't you actually present the full and complete JT quote... perhaps do it in an appropriate Canadian Politics forum thread. Sure you can!

It is a Trudeau tradition. Papa loved Fidel, Sasha still does. Papa was among Mao Tse Tung's staunchest supporters in the west, to say nothing of Pierre's little trip to Russia in 1952 for the benefit of Mr. Stalin.

The Kremlin’s interpreter | National Post

There is a good reason, in fact many good reasons I loathed Pierre Trudeau.

His son I do not loathe, as that would be incorrect. One should not hate the mentally challenged.

But he has his father's love of Communist dictators and mass murderers.

I have NO idea why anyone not a complete pothead would vote for him.

At Toronto fundraiser, Justin Trudeau seemingly admires China’s ‘basic dictatorship’ | National Post

“There is a level of admiration I actually have for China because their basic dictatorship is allowing them to actually turn their economy around on a dime and say we need to go green, we need to start, you know, investing in solar."

The COMPLETE quote....now perhaps you could point out how that is not a worrying comment, keeping in mind that the Chinese Communist Party has murdered between 50 and 70 million people..

like I said in the other threads like discussion... you need to get with the modern times. You're fixated on a 50+ years back China, not the China of today! You know, the China of today that your boy Harper is so admiring of... so intent and fixated on securing trade with and investment from... the China of today!
that's right... context, the thing you're purposely avoiding with your cherry-pick. Even within your cherry-pick statement, there's nuance in the words, "a level of admiration"... and "basic dictatorship". In keeping with your "commie under your bed" boogeyman fear, you choose to assign that nuance to a period in China that doesn't exist anymore. Like I said, if your boy Harper can deal with modern China, so should you be able to without attempting to fabricate for your perceived partisan gain. Outside of your direct cherry-pick you lose the context of the "most admired" type of governing that was stated in relation to Canadian territorial governance. Of course, your cherry-pick also avoids the 2 zingers that have overall contectual significance: one, that the most preferred admired territorial governing (like municipal governing) has people, "pulling together to try and solve issues rather than to score points off of each other"... and... two, the quip stating that "Sun News can now report about a China preference", has proven a brazillion percent true!

Then there is Pierre's bestest buddy, the Liberal money man and Justine's godfather Maurice Strong. That is who PMs go visit in China. He lives in Beijing to avoid paying taxes on his Canadian assets.

This is such a farce is incredible that anyone takes this so-called "agreement" seriously. Read it and weep greenies 'cuz it don't mean nothin' Me thinks everyone hears (and sees) "global warming & agreement" and they get all excited when, in fact, the whole thing means absolutely nothing.

Right.

I think the point that we continue to propel the China that Colpy so dearly hates, must've gone over his head.

If you've read back you will see that I have said:

The worst mistake of the west in the 20th century was opening up China.

China should be isolated economically, and contained militarily.

Unfortunately, nobody is listening.

And yes, I hate mass murderers, despots and tyrants.

he sure does turn that Colpy blind-eye to Harper's admiring zeal for Chinese trade/investment. At least he's dropped his repeated reference to 70 million people killed... which was the point of context for suggesting to him that China of 50-100 years ago isn't the China of today. Of course, being this boards raving gun-fanatic, it's quite telling that he would highlight current Chinese fails (with accompanying deaths in the "hundreds") while ignoring gun violence, gun deaths, gun suicides, etc., in the U.S. with deaths regularly in the tens of thousands yearly... and impacts to hundreds of thousands related to gun violence (2011 U.S. Bureau of Justice Statistics, National Crime Victimization Survey for 2011 => ~ 500,000 firearm victims in non-fatal gun violence). Notwithstanding, for example, the veritable for profit prison industry in the U.S. (that his boy Harper so wanted/wants to emulate), the U.S. incarceration rate, and the U.S. execution numbers... not Chinese numbers, but hey 'Rethuglicans are on the rise', so stay tuned!

China should be isolated economically, and contained militarily.

Unfortunately, nobody is listening.

least of all... apparently, your boy Harper... so admiring of that Chinese yaun... a real Harper 'yen for the yaun', hey!

Okay, barring your extreme view of how to diplomatically deal with China (lol), you do realize that the government that props up this communist regime is the government that you support right?

And if the problems that come from propping up that state are as widespread and damaging as you say they are, then that pretty much nullifies any "good" that the Canadian government has done.

I hope these logical premises are evident to you now.

so... all that gun related death/violence... that's "liberty", hey? Liberty from who/what? "FREEDOM"... uhhh... from who/what?

slavery? You mean gun "activists" slaves to the gun industry, gun lobby... that slavery?

anyway, thanks for showcasing your very self-serving view on which death/violence conditions actually count in your assessment, and which ones you give an absolute "LIBERTY" pass to?

Like I said....progressives that do not understand the difference between liberty and slavery.

Oh, the China "deal"....what a laugh!! China needs do NOTHING until 2030, and now is blocking any move from environmentalists to inquire about process or progress over the intervening 15 years.....some deal!!

And now:
