That is going to hurt. HEy waldo, how's your azz feeling?

hey genius! Try following any of the links provided within that article! No linkees workee!!! Notwithstanding "John O'Sullivan" is nothing more than a hack journalist, one only needs to read his sentence where he states, "World-renowned Canadian climatologist, Dr. Timothy Ball"... to bust a gut laughing at just how gullible you are! Tim Ball is world renowned in his mind only... well, apparently, your mind too!

The years post-1998 have stayed within the variation of the pre-existing trends, (the red dashed lines) i.e. no evidence that the warming trend has stopped. Further, the temperature has exceeded the variation one would expect if the warming had stopped, evidenced by the dots occuring outside of the blue dashed lines, and that is evidence against that silly hypothesis. It's silly because, the other satellites still measure that at the top of our atmosphere, more energy goes in than comes out, i.e. warming is the expected behaviour of the system.

Seems pretty clear, no? The majority of observations are even on the plus side of the expected variation...

thanks; your post was excellent! Of course, that denier "PausePlay" is a purposeful isolation on surface temperature to the exclusion of ocean warming/ocean heat content rise. In terms of surface warming I expect you're aware of the following, but let me emphasis it for the apparent usual suspects around here... recent "Cowtan & Way" studies, still standing and not challenged/over-turned, have shown the surface temperature dataset records have not properly captured the actual amount of global warming, principally due to the lack of station data in areas of the earth warming the most... in isolated areas, particularly the Arctic.

Global warming since 1997 more than twice as fast as previously estimated, new study shows --- A new study fills in the gaps missed by the Met Office, and finds the warming 'pause' is barely a speed bump

Another reason why you are daft. Why I believe if I saw you that you would have that blank vacuous look.

That doe look each time someone calls you a name in here.

That's enough for me.

You have anything that indicates it was hottest on record for the rest of the globe?

Yes, posted earlier. See the Washington Post link. NOAA will release their figures this week, but UHA and NASA have reported their numbers.

That is going to hurt.
HEy waldo, how's your azz feeling?

That's pretty old news. And the actual story is here.

NOAA Revives Weather Satellite After Lengthy Outage | Climate Central

Hey, show some respect! He's a fully-qualified climate scientist. And he roomed with Tommy Lee Jones at Harvard.

Oooh, it's been at least two pages since we've seen the "Al Gore is fat therefore global warming is a pile of crap" argument. Well done!

you say I'm not adding anything new that hasn't already been debunked by you geniuses here. Since I'm only responding to recent posts, then you guys are simply repeating yourselves... why your own repeats then? Are you trying to convince yourselves? In any case, that's quite the lil' scam you're playing... you refuse to support your claims... cause... they've been made before and you also claim, they're irrefutable! Typical denier tripe!
You deny the empirical evidence gathered by millions of freezing researchers. Are your pipes insulated?

I didn't say he was fat. I implied that he's not a qualified scientist. And I'm right. He has an A.B. and a J.D. Neither is typically accepted as a scientific credential. Probably qualifies for "climate scientist," though.

That would be the Dr. Tim Ball that was being sued by world famous climatologist, IPCC contributor, phony Nobel Prize winner, and serial liar Dr. Michael Mann.....until, of course, the suit was about to go to court, where Dr. Mann would have been forced to defend his "research". Them it was dropped like a hot potato by Dr. Mann.

Now, which Dr. do you think one should listen to??

You mean you didn't say Al Gore was fat so global warming was a pile of crap?

Zip thought you did.

Sometimes, we all make a mistake on where the ole decimal point should be... All an innocent misunderstanding

He is kinda chubby... Makes for a helluva good excuse to get on the bike and get some ghg-free exercise. Not as luxurious as a Lear jet, but such is life on a warming globe

The onset of an ice age has probably never been thought of as a warming pause speed bump. I said probably, who knows maybe some as yet undiscovered cave art will do just that. I wonder how far your body temperature will fall before your little light comes on.

Yeah, well, I was speaking English. True believers often have trouble with that.

I fail to see how Al Gore's lack of scientific credentials reflects on the case for global warming. He's a olitician. A mouthpiece. All the rhetoric and hyperbole spewed by Gore and Steyn isn't going to change the properties of a carbon dioxide molecule.

Now, which Dr. do you think one should listen to??

now I'm aware of Tim Ball dropping his own lawsuit against Dan Johnson/Calgary Herald
In a Statement of Defence filed with the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench, the Herald dismissed Ball’s “credibility and credentials as an expert on the issue of global warming,” saying: “The Plantiff (Dr. Ball) is viewed as a paid promoter of the agenda of the oil and gas industry rather than as a practicing scientist.”
and I'm aware of the ongoing lawsuit filed by Andrew Weaver against Tim Ball...

but I'm not aware of the Mann-Ball lawsuit being dropped... I'm not disputing you, I can't find anything to support that claim, including a search of "BC Court Services Online". Could you please provide a citation to support your claim - thanks in advance.

Ball retired from any active research or academic placement in 1995; even then his degree is in geography... he has no past involvement in any manner of climate/atmospheric related science... he has never published in that regard. Since 1995, Ball has been nothing more than a paid-mouthpiece for any group willing to hear/repeat his schlock routine. If you really want to gain a sense of just how far out there Ball is, google 'Sky Dragons'... even genuine skeptics have turned their backs on the guy after that idiocy.

if you feel a burning desire to pump Tim Ball's tires, please... do so. We could have some real fun with whatever you want to throw down!

exactly! Of course, Gore is an easy target... but as I said a while back in an earlier post, he's not really that relevant anymore. You hear his name pop-up occasionally but it's usually a media hound after a quick soundbite... either from Gore himself or from the 'Gore-is-Fat' crew!

The onset of an ice age has probably never been thought of as a warming pause speed bump. I said probably, who knows maybe some as yet undiscovered cave art will do just that. I wonder how far your body temperature will fall before your little light comes on.

oh my... what's the working timeline for your ice-age onset? There is no 'warming pause'... there has been a reduced rate of surface temperature rise as compared to earlier more accelerated warming. CC member, 'Tonington', gave a recent accounting in that regard - here:

I followed up on that post with the following to emphasize the claimed "pause" is one purposely done to isolate only on surface termperature... to completely ignore rising ocean warming:
Of course, that denier "PausePlay" is a purposeful isolation on surface temperature to the exclusion of ocean warming/ocean heat content rise.
