From what little I've read about the man, he did have beliefs about the existence of aliens 40 years ago. -:)
I have believed in that possibility since 1969 when I saw a UFO on the beach in Prince Edward Island witnessed by at least three other people.

I believe Hellier has been talking about aliens for quite a few years.Seems to me I heard him at least 10 years ago, if not longer. Some of the US astronauts have gone public with the same info 30 ears ago.

If you have a Rand MacNalley road map of New Mexico handy, look it up. You will find in the middle of the huge air force based identified on there a small orange square marked "Space Port". What is a port but a point of trade?

From what I can find, he never publicly admitted his belief until 2005, but, has been involved with government policy pertaining to stopping the weaponization of space, so it's not a surprise his mind is on these matters.

An old fellow I worked with many years ago told me he watched a flying saucer fly over Nanaimo, several years previously, but never told anyone for fear of getting hauled away to the looney bin. This guy was NOT inclined to bullsh*t, although I suppose he could have been honestly mistaken, although quite unlikely.

He wasn't 90 years old at the time.

I'd like a chance to interview you when you're 90, and see if your faculties tick along any better.

I have old parents and old relatives. While they can get cantakerous, they don't generally lose their minds entirely. He probably just lost his filters that prevented him from babbling about his alien theories while he was in government.

Do you have dementia or Alzheimer's in your family?

The things that have been issues in family members that I've seen slide into paranoia, have been the two I just mentioned, and in one, a severe case of infection on the brain, and in another, a small stroke that left them paranoid.

I have healthy elderly family as well, but I was pointing out that he might not be.

I think we are aliens to this planet. We don't seem to have any other connection to it except what we can take from it. I think we were genetically engineered by aliens from one of our humanoid ancestors using their own DNA. If we were actually natural to Earth we would not be so hell bent on destroying it.

Get hold of yourself would you.

If there are aliens here, they had to travel great distances to get here. Do you think they would share their tech with such a primitive species as ours so that we could travel to other planets to screw up as we have done our own?

Kevlar body armour and fibre optics were taken from the crashed alien craft at Roswell.

The conservative way is to exploit anything and everything without any real
checks and balances and everyone police's themselves that is the real
problem. It also relies on churches and self proclaimed service clubs to do
societies heavy lifting that is meeting the social responsibility to citizens of
lower economic groups
A modern society has to be more than that, we should have progressed past
the Charles ****ens stage of life but we haven't. I am not saying certain groups
should have a free ride not at all everyone in a society should do their part.
The biggest free ride though is given to the privileged in bonuses for no real
work being done and in tax breaks that end up in the retirement fund of the
wealthy. The ideal situation would be to have a very progressive leadership
on the moderate left with a mean old man looking after the money and they
would in turn regulate each other as it is one side or the other does what they
please once in power

Yeah, that's about what I expected your response would be. You want so much to believe in ghosts and aliens and things that go bump in the night you won't process any evidence to the contrary.

With the millions of stars in this galaxy, It would be Blackleaf-like arrogance of us to think we could be the only intelligent life form in existence.............

Or possibly Cannuck-like arrogance. -:) -:) -:)
Seriously to find them we first have to find a planet that is habitable, tolerable temperature and such amenities like water and an atmosphere composed of approximately 20% oxygen. Mind you species can adapt to slight differences.

There is no mighty British Navy either but that hasn't stopped bL from believing.

Yeah, I was actually beginning to think good things were going to come from that boy after expounding on the benefits of meat, but I guess that was just a "flash in the pan"

No. But I don't see any mention of Alzheimer's here. And if he has it, a big raspberry to the reporters for even attempting to interview him in that state.

And he was just over 80 in 2005 if he is 90 today.

With the millions of stars in this galaxy, It would be Blackleaf-like arrogance of us to think we could be the only intelligent life form in existence.............

And if there was, he would be explaining why they are inferior to the British Imperial Empire.
