Hubby said it this morning in his best B movie announcer voice, Polar.... Vortex. It did sound WAY cooler.

Calling an Arctic low or Arctic trough a Polar Vortex and blaming it on global warming is f*cking pathetic.

Petros... what else could they do? The congregation is looking up to their Pastors looking for answers to this dreaded, frigid, record breaking winter.
This latest chill is partly caused by the polar vortex but I never said it was definitely caused by global warming, nor do I care about Suzuki, Gore or political activists who want to enforce immediate policy changes.
Just goes to show some of you guys are living in black and white and refuse to discuss the actual science on the matter.

Actually everyone of those say the vortex 'may' contribute. In fact many of them state that most scientists are still skeptical of the theory.
Ah ha! finally the root of the matter "actual science" there are two! Mission and independent. If you were intent on lowering the global population to manageable numbers would you warn that population of the nature of said catastrophic change or would you steer them 180 degrees away and thereby improve the efficiency of the project?
Most scientists are enslaved to the machine. You can't trust them unless you pay them.
