All interglacial events end the same way. A rapid spike in temps followed by an extremely fast crash into full on continental glaciation.

Geology never lies.

Interglacial - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

CO2 spikes and the entire 9 yards....

Apparently man has caused this 20 times in the last 2 Ma (2 million years).

Actually everyone of those say the vortex 'may' contribute. In fact many of them state that most scientists are still skeptical of the theory.

Of course they are saying that without any evidence. They are saying that with the hope that the mere mention of this insane cold weather is caused by global warming will be enough. They are embarrassed and desperate.

I've always been a fan of your animated memes and have finally found a killer webpage with tons of them.

I am now armed with plenty of animated memes to out animate you!

Well... at least I can keep up with you.

P.S.... We're still CanCon "friends". ;)

Between our super long winter last year, the last two unusually cool summers here in AB, and the oddity that this winter has been, I really can't help but hope the climate change deniers are right, and this is just 'weather'.

The "weather hats" are on now.

When we get our first heat wave in the Southern US this summer the "weather hats" will come off it will be Global Warming again.

If it warms up this week it is clearly a sign of global warming. There is no stopping it.

It's supposed to rain on Saturday. So that means when it freezes again Sunday or Monday we'll have a nice ice sheet on top of all the snow....won't that be fun?!?

But the priority for Alarmist is to get out of this crisis. First things first.

Or the usual January thaw.

Either or.

I was supremely cold earlier this week.....I got cranky.

If I'm risking life and limb to just leave the house on Monday, well let's just say the alarmists best get out of my way cuz I'm having a bad month, lol.

This was just a desperate attempt by Mother Nature to fight global warming. Global Warming laughs in her face.

Backwater, Ontario.
It,s normally called a trough or arctic low but vortex sounds way cooler on the news.

PS they happen every winter.

Yup, guy on CBC Ottawa used to refer to it as a trough of arctic air. Haven't heard him lately as I get the weather from the computer.

VORTEX sounds like we're all getting sucked in.....................so what else is new ?

Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes!

Conservative MP Peter Braid Says Extreme Weather And Climate Change Linked

In what is being considered a first by a member of the federal Conservatives, Kitchener-Waterloo MP Peter Braid stated publicly on CBC News Network’s Power and Politics that recent extreme weather and climate change are connected.

“We are seeing the effects, the impacts of climate change,” Braid told host Evan Solomon on Monday. “With climate change comes extreme weather events. We saw that through the floods in southern Alberta, we’re now seeing that with the ice storms in Kitchener-Waterloo and Toronto, with the extreme cold across the country.”

Solomon later asked Braid to confirm he was saying that extreme weather and climate change are related, to which Braid replied, “Absolutely, I’m confirming I said that.”

The statement comes on the same day that two people were arrested in Vancouver after they came within centimetres of Prime Minister Stephen Harper and displayed signs protesting the government’s policies on climate change.

Is anyone surprised at the Alarmist excuse for this bitter cold.

Not only near record temps... this Fridgaggedon has broken cold records.

And the climate does change... it has since the beginning of earth and no amount of wealth distribution will stop it.

This latest chill is partly caused by the polar vortex but I never said it was definitely caused by global warming,

The polar vortex being caused by global warming would be the most ironic thing to have happened since the statue of William Wallace in Stirling, called Freedom, was enclosed in a security fence.

How is that possible, why the eco crowd has made a specific point of propagandizing the notion that weather and climate are entirely different.

They jump back and forth. They still can't get their story straight on this. No wonder the movement is dying. They have no credibility and are rife with fraud, lies, and greed.

I liked this part from the article though...

“The problem is, of course, the actions of the government don’t actually support those views,” said McGuinty. “They have systematically cut all of the climate change funding for Canadians right across the country in terms of fiscal measures and programming.”

Way to go Canada!

And BTW... Is MP Peter Braid a Climate Scientist or does that only matter when one criticizes the religion of Global Warming?

There are many of us that identify Canada's refusal to buy into the horse sh*t, as a national point of pride

LOL.. Betcha that the UN has listed him as a 'climate scientist' that is part of the 99.9999% consensus

Without evidence? I can't help that myself and Tonington--two scientists--post scientific rebuttals all the time on this site. We post verifiable evidence of our viewpoints. Usually the reply is something about wealth distribution or Al Gore or some incoherent rambling about how physics has it all wrong.

It's not the AGW proponents that are lacking in evidence.
