‘CO2 makes your car hot’

Really?

Annnnnyway:

The greenhouse effect, as explained by Dr. Laurie Johnson of the Natural Resources Defense Council:
When you get in your car in summer, your car is hot because it has greenhouse gases in it. That's why its hot.
This couldn't possibly be correct... could it?

The keep changing the name of the cause. First global warming then climate change.
There has been climate change since the beginning. Even if there is global warming
there will be global cooling like the middle ages.
I don't see the whole mess with carbon credits and so on just another way for the big
guys to make money. Then there is those people who want to force me out of my full
size pickup truck. I would get to ride around on a bicycle or worse transit. No thanks.
I prefer my air conditioning in summer and my news and music station without bloody
ear phones.
If people want to go round with a long face and tell me all this is coming to an end save
your breath. The end will come when I die like everyone else. Most of this stuff is for
two groups the devil who wants to frighten people so they can charge more and make
huge profits retooling industry at consumers expense. And the devil, those who have
formed interest groups to raise money for the cause and give themselves something
special to do. In the middle is the ordinary guy who just wants to know the real truth.
The guy who just wants to be left alone and not hear this nonsense from two opposite
groups both snickering up their sleeves while they continue to fleece us .
the old saying still holds true, "If you can't dazzle them with brilliance baffle them with
bull sh*t" Oh and I don't give a hoot about the diagrams, charts, stats, education materials,
and the company line we are part of the green revolution.

The greenhouse effect caused by glass windows is somewhat different from that of gases in the atmosphere.

Shorter wavelength photons can pass through glass, but the longer wavelength photons emitted from within the car vibrate at the same frequency as the molecules in the glass, which prevents them from passing through.

The Greenhouse Effect

Bright sunlight will effectively warm your car on a cold, clear day by the greenhouse effect. The longer infrared wavelengths radiated by sun-warmed objects do not pass readily through the glass. The entrapment of this energy warms the interior of the vehicle. The trapping of the hot air so that it cannot rise and lose the energy by convection also plays a major role.

Short wavelengths of visible light are readily transmitted through the transparent windshield. (Otherwise you wouldn't be able to see through it!)

It's easy to dismiss such simple and over-reaching analogies. Much harder-none thus far have managed-to explain why the top of the atmosphere energy imbalance exists and persists without an anthropogenically enhanced greenhouse effect. Certainly a dumb 23 year old quote won't make such a dismissal possible.

What the flux is going on?

Core Flux

Which gas superheated by Terawatts of solar energy is your favourite? Nitrogen or Oxygen?

Yes, many watts come in, and fewer go out. As I said, none have been able to explain that without an anthropogenically enhanced greenhouse effect, including you.

Silly boy. I suppose the pole is following the melting ice sheet too and not the other way around right?

To The Horror Of Global Warming Alarmists, Global Cooling Is Here

Around 1250 A.D., historical records show, ice packs began showing up farther south in the North Atlantic. Glaciers also began expanding on Greenland, soon to threaten Norse settlements on the island. From 1275 to 1300 A.D., glaciers began expanding more broadly, according to radiocarbon dating of plants killed by the glacier growth. The period known today as the Little Ice Age was just starting to poke through.

“Abnormally Dry” Means The Wettest Conditions On Record

via sda:

A green drought

Q: What do you call unusually wet conditions in a particular region?
A: Do you want the wet or the dry answer?
The US Drought Monitor still says that Fort Collins is "abnormally dry" - despite the fact that the reservoirs are full, the river is at flood stage, mountain snow pack is far above normal, and the area is (by far) the greenest anyone has ever seen it. Our desert city looks like Ireland right now.

Its all about control. Just drove by the Charles River... the water is very high. The ponds and reservoirs are full. We are also listed as abnormally dry.

And it is raining cats and dogs out as we speak.

But...but...Skuzuki.

From the article:

Asked about the comments this afternoon, Mr Yeo said: "It is possible there are
natural causes as well, but my view has always been that – for twenty years – I
have thought the scientific evidence has been very convincing. The strong
probability is that it is man-made causes contributing to greenhouse gas
concentrations."
