I wonder just how much fun the conservatives will have when the general public discovers the hundred billion dollars they've added
to our debt. The whole purpose of the attack ads is to mask the burgeoning debt. All their talk about how they came through the little recession in such good shape. What they don't tell is that they bought their way out with our hundred billion dollars. Mulroney type bull all over again.

Best go back and read how the Libs and NDP wanted more money thrown out the door at that time and billions more later. You are being selective in laying this at the Cons doorstep.

What is wrong here Colpy? Every minority government is at the mercy of the rest of parliament, not just the conservatives. If they want to stay in power, they always have to do what the majority wants to some degree.
Juan, you are mistaken if you think you can reason with haters. Step aside and watch them self destruct in their frenzy to character assassinate whoever challenges their hero. Desperation is afoot and trying to stop this runaway train could get you run over.

Will the youngsters actually get off there asses and actually vote 2 1/2 years from now?

I can answer that one in a word.

No.

They are no more interested in politics now than youngsters have ever been. Well, maybe a little but not enough to make a difference.

Spoken like a true conservative.

What is the interest per year on a 100,000,000,000.00...........That is what Harper is costing us.......Added to
the rest of our debt of course.

My brand of conservatism is not represented by Harper.. who is a true Neo-conservative.. a social and economic libertarian which bears no resemblance to the real thing. True conservatism sees government as an agent in establishing a sustainable moral, national, cultural and economic order. Harper is a nitwit.. a petty free market ideologue.. just not very bright... and bad for the country.

I'm still hoping the shotgun wedding of the Reform (which Harper heads) and the Progressive Conservatives which exist as a shadow in the Conservative caucus.. will break down before the next election.. over irreconcilable differences. Otherwise i'll have no one for which to vote.

Not going to happen my friend. While Liberals might be abusing their genitalia at the thought of another Trudeau, the voting public will not hand over the reigns to this Canadian version of:

I think the question we really want to know is this: Is Justin Trudeau worse than Clifford Olsen?

The thought is so preposterous, it makes one wonder about the sanity of the dork putting it out there.

Still can't get your head around the National Post publishing that poll on your beloved PET.... Any 'problem' that you have with this, you should take up with the National Post.

For your convenience; here is the contact # so you can really give them a piece of your mind:

Time to accept that reality and let go of all the illusions that you and your new friend cling to on this.

Canada has come through in great shape... Perhaps you need to read a little more about the economic conditions throughout Europe or the USA to develop any kind of understanding on this.
Not in great shape, we've kept busy working on that non-partisan project that I happen to think is a great idea.

In a minority Parliament, at the insistence of the Liberals, who held the possiblity of a Lib/NDP/Bloc coaltion at their head....

And who now sanctimoniously blame it all on Harper.

Why not? He was PM. Conservative supporters blame everything bad that happened during the 70's on Pierre. What's good for the goose as they say.

Harper is the all-time leading Social spender. Harper has out spent all PMs combined.

I never thought about that, but I think you are right. A hundred billion in something like four years must be a record. Not a good record....but a record...
