I guess so.. Really makes you wonder why he followed that up with gutting the industry and collapsing the economy.
If I remember correctly, it was insane interest rates and skyrocketing energy costs that tanked economies globally.

No PM, President, Faerie Guild or Left/Right Twix factory can be blamed.

I hear that Harper already has some attack ads out.... It'll be interesting to see how jr handles the attention
Attack ads are for sports fans. I figured you were above them.

Captain reminds me of 5 or 6 hermits I met when I first moved to the bush in '72. They had all been there since the dirty 30s. None would have anything to do with the others. All hated each other since then for god knows why. They just held on to their hate. It kept them alive, I think. Crazier than outhouse rats they were, but a refreshing kind of insanity after 26 years in Montreal.

How many of those PMs, Presidents, etc were raising debt money to buy Venezuelan crude at world prices in order to sell below market in their home nation? For that matter, how many of the aforementioned leaders had approximately 40% of the working population employed (directly or indirectly) by the gvt? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure-out that the formula is a blue print for long term disaster especially when the debt was raised on double-digit interest rates.

In the end, despite there being a global recession to be seen, Trudeau plunged Canada into that recession a few years earlier than the US based on the poor policies he invoked.

next stop......24 Sussex drive..... bring us home Justin.

Not going to happen my friend. While Liberals might be abusing their genitalia at the thought of another Trudeau, the voting public will not hand over the reigns to this Canadian version of:

Yup Justin has a steamer trunk of stupidity to answer for and he's going to be defending that stupidity for a number of years.

The part I liked best about that comment was that he said it on radio in French... As if no one would ever find out because it wasn't in english.

I really can't wait for more attack ads as Justin will likely snap and lash-out... The fun is just starting

Did you hear he is threatening to Nuke the US of A?

Was this a poutine related threat or something more along the lines about legislating that the Habs win the cup?

I wonder just how much fun the conservatives will have when the general public discovers the hundred billion dollars they've added
to our debt. The whole purpose of the attack ads is to mask the burgeoning debt. All their talk about how they came through the little recession in such good shape. What they don't tell is that they bought their way out with our hundred billion dollars. Mulroney type bull all over again.

There's a big debt clock available for all to see..... I certainly hope that you're not just 'discovering' this right now.

The whole purpose of the attack ads is to mask the burgeoning debt.

Nope... The purpose is to remind people of the double-speak, lies (and let's not forget) and notion that baby Trudeau has no experience in politics.

Sure, if we were electing people based on having a couple of years of experience as a drama teacher or a snow board instructor, then great, baby-T might have something to offer.

All their talk about how they came through the little recession in such good shape. What they don't tell is that they bought their way out with our hundred billion dollars. Mulroney type bull all over again.

Canada has come through in great shape... Perhaps you need to read a little more about the economic conditions throughout Europe or the USA to develop any kind of understanding on this.

I won't hold my breath on that though

In a minority Parliament, at the insistence of the Liberals, who held the possiblity of a Lib/NDP/Bloc coaltion at their head....

And who now sanctimoniously blame it all on Harper.

What is wrong here Colpy? Every minority government is at the mercy of the rest of parliament, not just the conservatives. If they want to stay in power, they always have to do what the majority wants to some degree.
