Makeup n stuff will do that. Here she is without makeup, photoediting, etc.

Hollywood is ALL about illusion.

If a relative brings one of these home for the family BBQ with the make-up etc.... you and all the uncles would be drooling. Not a "meh" would be spoken. ;)

The sad part is... EAO believes everything that comes out of Pallywood. Everything.

What a load of BS.

I believe in gratitude, giving credit where credit is due and not belittling the accomplishments of others.

I have a problem with this movie, because reality doesn't count when people only know a BS version of events.

I care far more about Ken Taylor's place in history than the Oscars. If you ask anyone under 30 who saw this movie, Argot is... how did Goober put it....the true story of how the CIA safely whisked six U.S. Embassy staffers out of Iran during the 1979 hostage crisis .

Off topic, but I like LG's picture better. Woman without make-up are more appealing to me. The first image gives me a feeling she might be a high maintenance pain. The second image looks like she could wear hiking boots and carry a canoe. Now that's my kind of woman!

Yeah... I bet you like the "jungle below" as well.

nnnnnnnnnnnnope. My wife's better looking and hardly wears any makeup. That critter has ears like Dumbo and weird lips. Doesn't seem to have very good muscle tone either. Nice eyes, though.

You're wife? Ahhh... gotcha. ;) (good man LG)

I wonder what the six hostages who were rescued by the Canadian embassy staff thought of Assfleck's
movie. They would know what really happened

A snippet from the hostage...

[The filmmakers] actually taught people some history that's important ... and I think it's also just a fun film. I was not looking forward to sitting in a theater for two hours; I sat down, and the next thing I know, it's over. You know how it's going to end, but you still get pulled along by it.

Once you get your head wrapped around the fact that this is not about our situation in Tehran, it's about the CIA and Hollywood and how they worked to get us out, then you realize there's not much space there for character development on the Canadian side or character development of the six of us.

Geez the more I read your links the more I want to see it.

Here is the link- Argo -Some facts behind the movie - SOME FACTS- Increased to caps for your beady little eyes that only sees what you want to see. .
http://forums.canadiancontent.net/news/110514-argo-some-facts-behind-movie.html

Read on Bucky. I knew the story well before I posted this thread. As to your knowledge of history and fact, or lack of when it comes down to it. Many Members have taken you to school on your idiotic and downright dumb statements that you call historical fact.

In the final scenes of the "nail-biting political thriller" Argo -- the true story of how the CIA safely whisked six U.S. Embassy staffers out of Iran during the 1979 hostage crisis -- a group of Americans disguised as a film crew safely survives three passport checks, the canceling and uncanceling of plane tickets, and a runway car chase by the Revolutionary Guard. But according to the insider account published in 1999 by the CIA's in-house journal, Studies in Intelligence, the actual exit was much less dramatic. The Iranian customs official stamping passports at Tehran's Mehrabad International Airport "could not have cared less" when he stamped the fake passports and exit visas of "six Canadians, a European, and a Latin American" as they snuck out of the country and onto Swissair Flight SR 363

Argo is a movie- It is based on events- and Hoolwywood changes whatever they want to make it sell. And from reading ES's post it is selling quite well.

Here is another creature that is not real. Hate to burst that small bubble again.
