Cheif Spence's husband is calling for a forensic audit. Lets see if Harper is willing to do that and open it all up. If he isn't, then we know where to point fingers.

For those that have no brain, I agree.

Aren`t you embarrassed to still be defending this woman

For whom?
For anyone who was looking at the actions of Chief Spence.
What would Harper have to hide? At least until he sees the receipts for the $100 million!-:)
Harper has nothing to hide. This is Gerryh's dislike of the Conservative government clouding his objectivity.

I wonder about that Account Company that signed off on the reports for all those years.

FPS, mf..........you really should check your facts before posting such garbage.

If you call what is going on in here disagreeing your fooling your self into thinking this so called forum is anything but a kill zone.
You people are eating one another up like it is an Olympic event.

It might take a few days or a week for a noob to realize it but you people are nothing but a war zone.

Well enjoy your little hate fest you have going on in here, there really isn't much else.
It seems you all been doing it for years.

And yes I understood your humour retread soldier , your not that deep.

As for us wanting this guy, our humour went over your head karrie.

i no longa amuse ya

Bremusa

Question...................why do you bother to put your name at the end of every single post? You do realize that you 'name' is visible to all - don't you? Or do you think someone here might hi-jack your avatar and post in your name - if so, you are very sadly mistaken.

Kill zone, war zone, hate fest. LOL. No, the humour isn't going over anyone's head, it's incredibly funny.

And not to nit pick but could you add just a little more drama?

Rock on SLM.

Bremusa, you are new here and I am relatively new in that I am just returning after a long hiatus. Surely you are not new to internet forums and thus are aware that they all have their own melieu. How one chooses to jump into that is purely up to the individual.

Having said that each forum is different, there is something which is always the same; you set the tone for how people treat you just like in real time. And just like in real time what we put out, mirrors exactly what rebounds, thus we need to think carefully about what we put out by deciding how we want to be treated.

Also, like any village we merge well with some, not so well with others and clash with yet others. And what you as a newbie see as violent confrontation may be how two members happily and consistently interact.

There is a space and a place for each including you if you want to be included in that. A little respect for and observation of the village life is always a good thing in my experience. ;-)

I've been wondering about that one too, lol.

I have a feeling this little charade is going to run out of steam! What a difference a week makes, I was on her side until I got focussed on the $100 million. Maybe if she cleaned out her purse, she'd find the receipts! -:)

As soon as I heard it was Spence, JLM..............my antennas were twitching. I'm not on anyone's 'side' as there is blame enough to go round considering our government was also severely lacking in oversight but truly after some of things this person has pulled her credibility started out at zero and went down from there.

I have little sympathy for Spence, but the conditionsin her community are deplorable. No one in Canada should live like that. But I suspect Spence is part of the problem, rather than the solution.

How could she not be? How could one do that to people who look to you for leadership, guidance and help? She is either grossly inept or it is a position assumed because it is completely self-serving. She may have been placed in that position because others stand to gain even more than her and she is malleable and thus they have used her as their puppet.

Regardless, she has shown her true colours and may she rot for turning a blind eye to those around her who live in squalor and abject poverty.

I don't think this person knows WHAT she wants: Spence calls for cancellation of First Nations meeting over GG's absence.

Spence calls for cancellation of First Nations meeting over GG's absence

How did the GG factor into it all of a sudden? He has absolutely nothing to do with it.

It was part her demands- GG and the PM- The GG cannot meet with groups who are or when govt business is ongoing, discussed etc. He would then be entering the political arena. Not part of his role or his duties.

She had asked for the PM and the GG because the GG is the Crowns rep and the treaties signed were signed by the Crown.

WTF? Why on Earth would she even think she is calling the shots? Who put her in charge of AFN or Idle No More.

Why aren't the ladies from Regina who founded Idle No More going to this meeting?

Who put her in charge?

Nobody put her in charge. The fact is, the PM arranged the meeting because of her. Obviously he didn't feel all that compelled to do anything just on what the "Idle no More" movement has been doing up to now.

What is stopping him from being there as an observer?
First nations leaders concerned Harper will only attend an hour of Friday's meeting - The Globe and Mail

“We have sent a letter to Buckingham Palace and requesting that Queen Elizabeth II send forth her representative which is the Governor-General of Canada. I will not be attending Friday’s meeting with the Prime Minister, as the Governor-General’s attendance is integral when discussing inherent and treaty rights,” Ms. Spence said in a release.

“It is the treaties made under the Royal Proclamation of 1763 that allowed for settlement in our territories,” said Ms. Spence. “The whole of Canada’s legitimacy rests on the treaties made with our ancestors. If the state of Canada continues to undermine and destroy the treaty relationship, what rights does Canada have to exist within our territories?”

The government is not acting in good faith and has set the tone this past week by releasing an audit that shows poor documentation of financial transactions in Attawapiskat, said Ms. Spence.

A spokesman for Ms. Spence says she met with her lawyer a couple of days ago and signed a new will that spells out who will care for her daughters in the event of her death and also requests no medical intervention should her health deteriorate.

The meeting has been planned since last week but the Governor-General’s office confirmed Tuesday that he would not be there.

“The Governor-General will not attend Friday’s meeting because it consists of a working meeting with government on public policy issues,” his spokeswoman explained in an e-mail.

Governors-General do not normally get involved in the day-to-day business of Parliament and courts have determined that the treaty obligations entered into by the Crown were passed to the government at the time of Confederation.

But Mr. Beardy said it would still be helpful for the Governor-General to take part in the Friday meeting.

“We still have two days and things are changing by the hour now,” said Mr. Beardy. “So, out of respect for treaty relations, out of respect for the chiefs, we hope that the Governor-General should be there as well.”

Yes, I stand corrected. She did ask for the PM and 'Queen'. Sorry.
