Arranged for who? Idle No More?

She had asked for a meeting between the First Nations leaders and the PM/GG. She made no mention of the "Idle no More" movement in her request.

Have you been sleeping through all of this?

Yes, I stand corrected. She did ask for the PM and 'Queen'. Sorry.

Not a problem- Hard to keep everything that is going on straight. But I do support the basics of Idle No More from the average FN Peoples that want change. Need to see constructive dialogue and change by both sides. The Chiefs, the Govt, the families that run reserves as a private fiefdom are the problem.

What is their mandate? What do they hope to accomplish in this improptu meeting nobody is prepared for? Who benefits?

Yep couldn't agree more. there needs to be extreme oversight in government and on the reserves so that this sort of BS can be avoided and Chiefs should be held to the same account as all citizens when handling government funding.

About 10 years or so ago the Govt tried to identify all the depts that have impact on FN Peoples. I think it was around 16 or so, then throw in the Prov agreements. What a waste of monies- duplication- 1 dept - with the specialists from education to health and whatever needed. And post their spending numbers on a separate website so we can see what they are doing. And yes, same applies to all Bands.
Oh yes- Detailed numbers- Not the crap normally posted.

Yup. Money spent on top of money by bureaucrats in their Ivory Towers.

I don't think this person knows WHAT she wants: Spence calls for cancellation of First Nations meeting over GG's absence.

Spence calls for cancellation of First Nations meeting over GG's absence

How did the GG factor into it all of a sudden? He has absolutely nothing to do with it.

When she first announced this farce, Spence was calling for a meeting with the PM and the Queen. That was soon amended to the GG. And, you are right. We are a sovereign country the GG should not be involved.

I wonder about that Account Company that signed off on the reports for all those years.

Funny you should mention accounting companies, Goob.........I just came across this while on Huff Post.

(Reuters) - The U.S. audit industry watchdog uncovered numerous deficiencies in an inspection of accounting giant Deloitte & Touche, the latest in a series of negative findings against major accounting firms.

The article is over a year old so one can only hope that Deloitte got it right for the Attawapiskat audit.

Exactly.

Exactly.

These so called accounting companies have more loop holes to use so as to prevent lawsuits and criminal charges.

Okay, they're formulating thoughts, albeit incoherent ones.

Why would shaving your balls bring back Crystal Pepsi? Is it some weird wind resistance thing? lol.

The GG and PM should definitely be involved in these discussions (possibly serve some refreshments of rye and crystal pepsi?).... Hell, I'd pay top dollar to be a fly on the wall in that meeting

Ok, but if the razor comes out..........run!!!!

Probably angry because he shaved his balls for nothing. Because that's the kind of anger that will prompt one to make a sign. ;)

It's not the razor that I'm worried about; it's the rye.... That sh*t brings the evil out in me

Meh, it'll grow back... I'd wager that he's angry 'cause he probably nicked himself a few times
