Speak for yourself. I'd rather have lower taxes since we rarely buy bread and I don't like paying for someone elses food.
I'm sure you don't. This is, however, still a democracy.

Do you eat animals or buy products from a labour force that does eat bread? How are you paying for someone else? Please explain.Speak for yourself. I'd rather have lower taxes since we rarely buy bread and I don't like paying for someone elses food.
Is it a democracy when 62% voted no against getting rid of the single desk?I'm sure you don't. This is, however, still a democracy.
I'm not fooling myself. I am well aware that everything is ultimately paid for by the taxpayer. The reality though is that Canadians would rather have higher taxes and a $2 loaf of bread than lower taxes and a $5 loaf of bread. We can argue all day whether that is ultimately a good thing but that is what people want.
I'm sure you don't. This is, however, still a democracy.
..and since we have a cheap food policy that means that those things are relatively cheap as well.
Ignoring the fact that being forced to sell to one source, is undemocratic, aside. The vote was a yes or no. No option for a choice. Is it a democracy when 62% voted no against getting rid of the single desk?
What is it called when democracy is side-stepped?That is not democracy, that is mob rule.
Loconotion! Stupid ideas powered by steam.
We don't sell to one ****ing source.Ignoring the fact that being forced to sell to one source, is undemocratic, aside. The vote was a yes or no. No option for a choice.
Add choice and try again.
CWB?what is it called when democracy is side-stepped?
The CWB isn't one source? We don't sell to one ****ing source.
The CWB isn't one source?
You have applied arbitrary costs to that loaf of bread.. Let me do the same.... What if the taxes were eliminated and that loaf of bread cost $2.50 as opposed to higher taxes and a $2.00 loaf?
Betcha wouldn't be so upset with a free market without gvt intervention.
You might want to check out a grocery store, obviously been awhile since you were in one.
How?We've made our choice freely and it's to keep the CWB. Apparently it's Ritz and the CPC who are ignoring our free choice.
I do the shopping for my family. If you think food is expensive now I'm sure you wouldn't want to pay the real value. Being a senior, you probably don't pay much in tax so the idea that you would pay less tax in return for more expensive food isn't much of a benefit to you.
You have four years to form a pool of your own.It exists for another 4 years. Then what? **** you and your freedom of choice?
So do I and I think I can safely say food prices have doubled in 7 years. VanIsle would probably have a better idea than either of us as she was in the industry.
