The casual arming of the idiot cousins in the country directly south of Canada.

America was born out of revolution, and suspicion of each other from the start.
Canada was formed by the institution of reason over weapons. However
before everyone gets too upset, let me say both countries have lost the abilities
to reason and that is why we are all in so much trouble. It all leads to the
arming of people with rebellious attitudes, and that in turn instills the feelings of
suspicion and mistrust, requiring the need for more arms and concealed weapons.
Do you have the feeling society is just going round and round like a dog chasing
its tail?

Can we trust any of our levels of Government? If not we may as well be adrift on a rudderless ship.

The United Stars was born on the idea that no man is better than another man, no need for thinking that a person who first saw this world coming through the right vagina is better than another man, that no one is entitled for more than another one, due to the accident of birth and that no man is superior to another unless the superiority is based on personal achievement.

Canada was founded - at least partially - on the opposite.

The United States claims to be the nation who believed no man was better than another but face it
almost everyone signing the documents of independence and nationhood owned slaves. That means
the theory and the practice were two entirely different things. Add to the mix the list of founding
principles, while the actual deeds came from the barrel of a gun.
The revolution a war with Britain.
The attempted annexing of Canada at gun point.
Then there is the matter of Texas becoming, a state on its own then a State of the Union with guns of course.
The Spanish American War,
The civil war
And last but not least the Indian Wars.
Those actions really line up to mean guns, mistrust, and conflict.

Canada on the other hand was founded by some boring old guys and led by a scoundrel and a huge drunk,
who is somehow related to me in the past. Canada does not have clean hands either, we were just more
civilized in the way we did our nasty little deeds.
The Rail was one of the biggest corruption stories this country ever saw.
The Riel Rebellion, which could have been handled far better than it was
The Regina and Winnipeg riots where the police were employed more as thugs for government and business
than they were as police officers.

The difference between The US and Canada, we appear to the world to be nice and polite people and America
brings its guns and ships to the table. Canada behaves more like the British, its just that we haven't learned how
to be as sneaky as the folks at number 10 Downing Street. So we look more like the voice of reason.

And face it with the shrill voices of the Tea Baggers, and the fringe, they certainly don't sound like the voice of
reason. I hesitate to travel there anymore, I know more and more people are packing guns and concealed ones
at that. I have not crossed the boarder in over a decade. From the impression I get from the people I hear and
some are relatives, the civilization is sliding downward continuously.

In addition I do not quite accept the idea of gun control to the extent we have in Canada either, as I don't think the
over all social aspects of society can be legislated, education takes longer, but education breeds evolution and
legislated zealots create revolution.
Remember also, that not all our southern cousins are idiots or even armed, and there are some really strange
people in my view in Canada with guns. Remember Ludwig, from northern Alberta? North America is a very
strange place with lots of contradictions. but we must all maintain our sense of humor or the place won't be
safe for tourists

Here you go, it took me a helluva time finding it. Fortunately, I had it stored on my pc.

Go to http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2004/sept/25/

Go to search & put in How Bush's grandfather helped Hitler's rise to power.

I can't believe how some information simply disappears off the net and other stuff lasts forever.

Where were you for all these weeks? Checking fur traps?

You have been searching for a conspiracy link for over 3 weeks and finally found one?

You have to be a little quicker on CanCon than this Sugar Britches.

Hey, Unlike some I gotta life. Fur traps?? highly unlikely in 97 deg weather. No smart fur bearing animal hangs around in those temps. Besides, I did mention early on up front that I found most of the articles had disappeared. Only have that one because I bookmarked it to look into a bit further.

Don't you find it more than a bit odd that a stupid thing a young kid does last forever on the net but what an "rich scumbag" Texas politician does can vanish into cyberspace like it never happened.

How Bush's grandfather helped Hitler's rise to power | World news | The Guardian
But then the company's assets were seized in 1942....the US declared war only in December '41 so old Prescott Bush wasn't dealing with the enemy until then........

Excuse me but where have you been living?? ....The war began in 1939 and ended in 1945. You found that link because I gave it to you.

My argument was the US did not enter the war until Pearl Harbour was bombed because they were making bundles of money off both sides. I was told to apologize because it wasn't true.

Well, I found that one link out of many that existed around that time that proves it. There were multiple links, and not just about the Bush family. If you think I'm slow, you try finding those other links, that I am telling you exist. And they say nothing is lost in cyberspace.. Hah!!.....only the stuff about those who cannot afford to have their info tracked down and eliminated.

Jack Kerouac was a big promoter of stream of consciousness writing but he suggested people practice at it so you don't sound like your just typing a jumble of random ideas. He also edited his novels before publication, so really, even he knew when his method was inadequate.

Jack Kerouac was a douche bag who, lost in the ineptitude of his own life and marriage, wanted to prove everyone else was just as fukked up. All we got from him was driving from the east to the west and the west to the east. "on the road" ; oh fukk, get a life.

I know when the US declared War,....... a few long years later than the rest of the allies. .But of course the war started for the US before Pearl Harbour, they entered it by dealing arms, steel, whatever they could sell to allies or Germany.

They sold arms to both sides. My contention is.........as long as they were making money from both sides, why would they support just one side. GM and Ford were up to their ears in dealing with Hitler as well as I recall. Imagine going into Germany and finding the same vehicles coming at them LOL. Eagle, denied any of this happened, that the US only ever supported the Allies. I disagreed, so what is your problem. Get with it!!

In the intervening wars, they have gotten into, how often were they fighting against weapons made in the US, albeit, perhaps a few years older??

Read the next posts. Before using your fingers engage your brain.

I know when the US declared war and why. It wasn't until they were bombed at Pearl Harbour. The why was the point of the argument. Keep up and you may end up passing for someone is capable of carrying on a sensible rebuttable.

Good...let out that hate for the U.S. ....don't keep it in....it will just fester and...........

What a stupid statement. What about stating facts translates as hate?? I live in the US 5 months of the year and I have many American friends. The fact is, like Canada, there are many crappy people/politicians breathing the same air as I do. Because I do not whitewash those of either country's scumbags does not translate to hate.

Where on earth did you learn your debating skills. Better either go back for a second go around or ask for your money back

Ah geez, he may be a douche bag, and what makes you think I care about his life, marriage or how he f.cks up his life. The man took his information from US Archives released in 2004! The other article I found was from the Washington Post on GM & Ford. So what do you have against that source??

What the heck, is there a full moon?? That is what usually brings out all the nutballs.

So the Germans were coming at us with Sherman tanks, M-7s, M-10s, P-47s, BARs, etc?

Don't be silly.

Such as?

I believe I already did. The key words were "I heard". I have no way to substantiate that though.

Of course you can't.
