Indeed, the topic is Somalia..... so if you heed your own words, why the hell did you go off on a cry about wars in general and didn't mention anything about Somalia?
You went on and on to bitch and moan about the US and how evil they are, yet this is the first and only post of your's in this thread that actually mentions Somalia.

First of all terrorism is a crime, however we must also face a serious reality. Whether we like it or not
the west has been at war with Islam since 9/11. People with, blinders on, still believe the rhetoric we
hear almost daily. The west and the Islamic world has been locked in a life and death struggle for the
hearts and minds of civilization. This conflict will continue for at least a generation without a meaningful
end. We skirt the issue, we use other wording like terrorism to disguise the real conflict and we refuse
to face the reality of what we are into.
We make excuses for the situation, we also play down the conflict where possible to head off civil unrest.

Places like Somalia are potential powder kegs that we have to be aware of.

And Canadian troops have never been to Somalia. I'd say they were.
No no Pumpkin....it's us not US. There is longer a seperation between Canada and US in terms of the military and even Mexico pulls a donkey cart or two to help too. Just incase it haven't clued in yet Cookie, we are at war with damn near all of Asia (Thank God the Brits have the Hindus in check) on the ground and financially and it didn't just start yesterday. It's not about Islam, it's not about Jews and it's not about Christians or American/Canadian Imperialism.
