I am referring to how easily and quickly the lefties come running to the defense and support of a chic that compromised her work ethics just because they happen to share her dislike for Harper.
That's simply coincidence.
I think that all went as it should - she went partisan to make a point and then got fired.
If I disagreed with her political stance, I would voice that as well - but I wouldn't condemn her protestation just as I don't praise her protest simply because we happen to share the same federal ideals.
I think it's time to rename the slippery slope fallacy to the 'sour grapes' fallacy.
This assumption that anyone who supports an act of protestation, by association, also supports the content of that protest is stupid and just divides people further into this fake left and right nonsense. I'm sure there are plenty of conservatives who think her actions were pretty normal, even though they don't agree with her political inclinations.
