"I am way too close to this whole episode to be rational about this in any way shape or form," Stewart told his audience. "Last night was a good night for me, and not just New York or D.C. or America, but for human people."
He added that bin Laden has give the Arab world a negative image for "too long" and that his death delivered a serious blow to Al Qaeda.
"They have nothing," Stewart said. "Can they still do damage? I'm sure. But we're back, baby."

Jon Stewart Rejoices Over Osama Bin Laden's Death: 'We're Back, Baby' - The Hollywood Reporter

With the on going MSM talking heads offering their so called expert opinions it was Jon Stewart who in the aftermath of Bin Laden's death summed up the real story and feelings of what this really means..

I condemn people who commit war crimes and crimes against humanity, regardless of race, religion or nationality.

I expect that with a Harper majority, criticizing Israeli war crimes and crimes against humanity will become illegal.

In case you didn't notice, free speech and tolerance of dissenting opinions isn't one of Harper's strong suits.

Now isnt that the Pot calling the Kettle Black.

Re: Osama Bin Laden Killed, Obama Says

Really puts into perspective that a whole nation brought itself to its knees to catch 1 guy.

We weren't on our knees. We came from the sky, from up above, on a state of the art helicopter. We came ready to carry out the extermination of an evil man. Our Navy Seals were ready to give their lives if necessary. No matter how long it takes, remember? Revenge is a dish best served cold.

'We Got Him' - The Movie

Wednesday, 04 May 2011 09:02

Scene from 'We Got Him' - The Movie, a sequel to Wag the Dog.
Scene One: President in ratings nose-dive after doing everything he said he wouldn't do and nothing that he said he would. Pakistan is on the wish-list of countries to invade and subdue leading directly to the border with China - the target, with Russia, for a Third World War. Public support for ever more wars, like the latest in Libya, is waning. Others are planned so support must generated for them.
Scene Two: Man wrongly blamed for 9/11, who died years before anyway, becomes the manufactured villain in a staged drama in which John Wayne extras have a shoot out in a compound in Pakistan, thus providing further ammunition to demonise that country for 'protecting Bin Laden'.
Scene Three: The lying and ludicrous President is suddenly an overnight hero (for doing nothing) and enjoys standing ovations when he enters a room. He condemns Pakistan (obligatory) which then apologises for 'security failures' hoping this will mitigate the military backlash in the wake of them telling the United States to stop drone-bombing their country and killing their civilians.
Scene Four: Grotesque, beyond grotesqueness - the hero President heads for Ground Zero in New York to exploit the families who lost loved ones on 9/11 to further promote himself, his popularity and poll ratings as he prepares for another run for President.
Scene Five: With new found support triggered in the John Wayne DNA of many Americans the President orders assaults on other countries while he heroically sits in the White House thousands of miles from the men, women and children this man and his beyond evil masters are ordering to be killed.
There was another scene in which the brave men in uniform paraded their 'prize' in full view to prove that what they said they have done they actually did. But, no. This was dropped in favour of dumping the 'body' into the sea. Saves the cost of hiring a corpse.
(Mind you, we do have that guy still on ice, right? Perfect.)

Just a gentle reminder of why this topic is relevant to some of us and I do understand that our neighbor Canada thankfully has no issue with 9/11. I would not wish the tragedy on anyone.

Curio, 24 Canadians were killed in those buildings so presumably 24 Canadian families
have issues with this subject. Suicide bombers are not brave. In their scummy little
minds they are flying directly to the feet of Alla to recieve their reward. Bad luck to the
lot of them.

Hi Juan

I realize there were many people slaughtered who were from other nations - visiting or working within the U.S. - but 9/11 remained a
singularly objectified target at the United States in a number of locations. It would be difficult to segregate any large area here which
was inhabited by U.S. citizens/residents only, especially the World Trade Centre which housed many foreign businesses and delegates. Canada as a nation had no issue - Canadians as a people did.

I thank you for bringing my omission to the table though - it was a bleak day for the world, not just the U.S. - but many people do not
seem to comprehend it's intent of devastation.

The method of the coward bin Laden's capture and slaughter was so typical of the man, hiding behind women and children - it's was
a site which nobody chose/preferred as a battleground but no doubt there were few options - I doubt he was ever alone - as people were his guard dogs not
his friends or loved ones.

I'm sure Bin Laden was attacking America when he was laying out that God-forsaken plan but few buildings other than the
WTC would have reaped a larger, more international, list of victims.

To be celebrating this doesn't even make sense.

Most of the people involved in planning 9/11 are still alive.
Killing him doesn't bring the victims back.
Terrorism is still an issue.
We practically destroyed our economy searching for him.
There's no closure.
There's no justice.

The whole pursuit just outlines how miserably we failed by getting caught up in this story. And that includes all the other participating nations (not just the U.S.)

I just don't get it.

If someone flew a plane into the CN Tower, the logical thing to do would be to simply prevent the same thing from happening again and rebuild the CN Tower. It wouldn't mean that we would need to wage a war on terrorism.

The U.S. already came to this logical conclusion a few years ago when they decided to hire Obama as a rejection of the delusional nationalism and religious fear mongering that needlessly put them into debt.

The papers clearly show that this is a war of religious dogma when the media shamelessly promotes that Osama is 'burning in hell'.

It's just crazy.

I don't think the fact the he hid behind his young wife when the SEALS entered his bedroom is going to do his legacy any good.

But i'm not sure i can trust this version of events, it might have been constructed for just that purpose. I'm pretty sure he was unarmed, which indicates the mission directives were NOT to take him alive, if found. But live by the gun, die by the gun.

I also noted what a DUMP this place was. This is what a million bucks buys in Abbatibad!!. I would have thought it would have bought a palace in poor country like Pakistan. You don't seem to get much bang for the buck there.

Face it man, the radical Muslims have won!!! The patriot act destroyed the constitution, the bill of rights and all but 1 ammendment to the constitution and US citizens life in fear and in a psuedo-police state. The high moral standards of the american military have been washed away with torturous acts and civilian deaths aplenty and they are now nothing more than a mercenary group beholden to american oil companies. It bears no resemblance to the home of the free that the founding fathers envisioned and that was in existence right up to Sept 2001. The Muslim groups have won by turning the west away from everything it stood for and into something worse than the terrorists themselves.

Just thought I would bump this back to the top for discussion. No matter how much celebration is happening and how much evidence or lack thereof there is that OBL is dead or not the radical muslim groups have still won.

To some.

There's no justice.

Many of us think so.

Like go to them on your knees and ask why? Beg for forgiveness? Perhaps ask how you can change to appeal to them?

The U.S. already came to this logical conclusion a few years ago when they decided to hire Obama as a rejection of the delusional nationalism and religious fear mongering that needlessly put them into debt.

Oh come on. Delusional Nationalism... religious fear mongering... you do understand that those words have been repeated so often that they have no effect at all. Obama said himself he would go after Osama. You saw the celebrations... did you not see the "Obama-Biden" campaign posters in the crowd?

The papers clearly show that this is a war of religious dogma when the media shamelessly promotes that Osama is 'burning in hell'.

It's just crazy.

Some are I would guess. I have not seen them but I'll take your word for it. What I've seen is the media reporting a story that the people want to see. The only ones b*tching about it are the ones that think killing Osama was wrong. They hate that we got him. He was at least someone they could point to and say...

"Yeah... and you haven't got Bin Laden yet."

... well they can't say that anymore.

Just thought I would bump this back to the top for discussion. No matter how much celebration is happening and how much evidence or lack thereof there is that OBL is dead or not the radical muslim groups have still won.

Whatever you say!
