If I was to tell my current wife that she couldn't be independent I would have to lock one of us in a very secure room to protect my health.
Women can be like that (sorry Karrie):lol::lol:

I worked as one. Had to quit. Couldn't stand having all those women constantly mauling me. It's grueling after hours work too.has anyone here ever gone and seen the way women act at male strippers? It's un-freaking-believable. No man would get away with acting like that and not be arrested or at the very least, tossed out of the bar onto his face. The screaming, pushing, MAULING the male stripper... it's insane. I went once, dragged along for 'ladies' night', and I ended up,leaving to go play pool on the 'guys' side because I was, frankly, embarassed to be a woman right then.
My daughter is 21 years old and recently started work with World Vision. The confidence and independance she's gaining through this job is wonderful. It shocked her to find out that women were thought of as less than human in some parts of the world. She was wide eyed yesterday when she told me that in some countries women cannot eat until the men have finished their meal. Now she's involved in a program to educate women in the poorer parts of the world. The aim is to empower them, promote and encourage their natural nurturing tendencies and to break down barriers instilled by male dominance. Go get em my little fireball!
There is a definite shift happening among the youth today. They are more aware of the injustices taking place all over and they're not afraid to tackle the tough stuff and make some real changes. I'm behind them 100%.
Is it the women who need educating or is it the men?
These women are certainly independent ... they're just like men.
100 drunken B.C. women brawl over male stripper
NANAIMO, B.C. — A drunken brawl broke out among a group of women at a Vancouver Island bar over the weekend after one woman blocked another woman's view of a male stripper.
More than 100 woman were at a fundraiser in Nanaimo’s Cavallotti Lodge on Friday night watching a man dressed as a police officer peel off his uniform when a women who was standing on a chair refused to get down after another onlooker argued she didn't have a clear view.
"I guess one woman assaulted another woman who was blocking her view and then all hell broke loose," said Nanaimo RCMP Const. Gary O'Brien.
Four squad cars responded.
Police arrested five women after the "alcohol-fuelled incident," but charges are not being recommended, said O'Brien.
Police plan on talking to the venue's owner about the danger of serving patrons too much alcohol.
Women are not treated equal in the workplace. It has long been said that if a man needs a masters, then a woman needs a phd. The man will still be paid more, and it will automatically be assumed that the man is better at logic, analytical thinking, computers, and anything more challenging than putting a few words together. Women can be independent in the sense that they can manage very well without men, but they will never be considered equal by men (and many women) intellectually (in the workplace).
I never understood why women wanted to be equal to men. It would amount to dumbing themselves down. Why would they want to be equal to war mongering barbarians with brains in their dicks? Yes I know, some of us are more than that, but just walk into any bar and tell me I'm wrong.
I think we need to find a word to substitute for gender equality
Gender equality is like trying to cross a duck with a donkey (no comparisons intended to humans)....
Each gender has its specialty, its reality, its method of working out getting through life both the
good and bad. Each gender has specific activity and thought patterns which promote one or the other in general.
The best combination is a pairing up of individuals with similar goals who enjoy sharing what each does best.
Women have gained equality in many of the important areas of our world such as politics, educational influence, promotion of gender emancipation in backward nations and I think both men and women have specific traits geared towards their life experience and desire for independent thought which enhance our world.
Many seem to believe emancipation of females meant they could be more 'male oriented' which is incorrect - each gender has its own gifts which complement the other gender. Women trying to be 'male' to be heard are missing their best traits - to be themselves - to offer alternative thought in many areas where women
excel.
My interpretation of gender equality is that both genders should have equal opportunities and respect.
If a woman, or a man, wants to be a professional, they should be able to (to the extent of their abilities), and their pay should be based on their abilities. If a woman, or a man, wants to be a stay at home parent, that's a family decision, and there should be no disrespect or anything attached to that.
