"Evangelists are an embarrassment to every thinking person."

Blanket statement like that is kind of silly and uninformed. It implies that an insignificant shi!!y little worm like you is a better, more profound thinker.

What have you got against Billy Graham, who was the spiritual advisor of at least 3 U.S. Presidents, including Bill Clinton?

Billy Ghaham was not a Christian, but he did make lots of money off the bizz. I read somewhere that Billy was in fact a Jew.

What I found interesting about the whole 'I did not have sex with that woman' business is the whole thing hinges on the definition of 'have sex'...and studies show that many people, especially younger people, do not consider a BJ as sex.

You always have to understand the meaning of what people say. And he was using a narrow, but not incorrect, definition of 'having sex'.

Back to the Haiti topic; I'm going to play Wyclef Jean and Fugees music this afternoon.
lol It's easy: we just need to define having sex as giving and/or getting sexual pleasure.

Dexter Sinister, my fault!

I should have asked what atheists contributed FINANCIALLy, out of their own pockets, for the welfare of mankind.

Words, platitudes, BS, crap, all very familiar to the worthies you list.
Well, I know of one that donated financially; my husband. He sent a week's wages (before deductions) into the SallyAnn in town with me. That's $1100 and a bit from him and I added $400 to it.

I wonder how much, if anything the pope donated out of his own pocket. Or Robertson. Or any other holier-than-thou pompous a§§.

Lewinski had nothing to do with Clinton's impeachment. he was impeached for selling nuke secret to China to off load debt.

The blow job was pure marketing genius.

Quakes in poor nations are a good thing for Capitalists. Prime land that was once owned by now dead poor people will be bought up by the sq km and developed into resorts.

I haven't read through the last four pages, & I'm not going to unless I have
to.....but on the Topic of Dumb reasons given (like Pat Robertson's) for
this tragedy hitting Haiti....wades in the Actor "Danny Glover:"

Haiti disaster caused by failure of Copenhagen summit – says actor Danny Glover – Telegraph Blogs

Glover comes in at about one minute into the video in the above link...

“What happened in Haiti could happen to anywhere in the Caribbean because all these island nations are in peril because of global warming.”
“When we see what we did at the climate summit in Copenhagen, this is the response, this is what happens, you know what I’m saying? We have to act now!”

...and what exactly is a `good Christian` !? How do you differentiate between a good Christian and a bad Christian....*or is there a difference in your eyes*?:-?

No, a lifetime of good behaviour and humble service makes him a good Christian.
