Having said that I think Clinton was the best president since HST.

But a fact is a fact.
Well thats fine. The Clinton fiasco was no ones business IMO. Other presidents would of also been empeached just for that reason alone.

What I found interesting about the whole 'I did not have sex with that woman' business is the whole thing hinges on the definition of 'have sex'...and studies show that many people, especially younger people, do not consider a BJ as sex.

You always have to understand the meaning of what people say. And he was using a narrow, but not incorrect, definition of 'having sex'.

Back to the Haiti topic; I'm going to play Wyclef Jean and Fugees music this afternoon.

Yeah, but Clinton was impeached for it. Even Nixon wasn't impeached, he quit before they could.

In fact Clinton is the only president to be impeached.

Glad to see you learned this today.

Take care.

Presidents Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton were impeached by the U.S. House of Representatives, but acquitted by the Senate. Richard Nixon resigned before he could be impeached

MHz, your example inspired me:

Here is the list of atheists who contributed to the welfare of mankind:

Done!
You missed a few. Ten minutes reflection and scanning the spines of the books in my study brought a few names names to mind. You might even have heard of some of them:
Richard Dawkins, Douglas Adams, Paul Dirac, Ernst Mayr, Carl Sagan, Steven Weinberg, Victor Stenger, Paul Klass, Susan Blackmore, Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar, James Randi, Richard Feynman, Sigmund Freud, Richard Leakey, Sir Peter Medawar, Jonathon Miller, John Allen Paulos, Steven Pinker, Claude Shannon, Linus Torvalds, Alan Turing, Simone de Beauvoir, Noam Chomsky, Daniel Dennett, David Hume, John Stewart Mill. I'm sure there a few others too...

Dexter Sinister, my fault!

I should have asked what atheists contributed FINANCIALLy, out of their own pockets, for the welfare of mankind.

Words, platitudes, BS, crap, all very familiar to the worthies you list.

Pope Benedict said he wanted to highlight the dramatic situation in Haiti following the "devastating earthquake, which resulted in serious loss of human life, a great number of homeless and missing, and enormous material damage."

"I appeal to the generosity of everyone, so that our brothers and sisters receive our concrete solidarity and the effective support of the international community in this moment of need and suffering," he said.

He said the Catholic Church's charity organizations would immediately move into action to assist those most in need.

Pope Benedict is much more reliable of these things than Pat Robertson... who really doesn't have a clue.

But you didn't. And how could we possibly find that out? I don't think those people's tax returns are available for public scrutiny, and principled, ethical people don't generally make a public show of their charity.

Words, platitudes, BS, crap, all very familiar to the worthies you list.
Your usual position of ill-informed judgmental certainty. Somehow I strongly doubt that you've read much of anything they've written, and what you *have* read you didn't understand.

Dexter Sinister, I do not think that your post(s) are worth quoting, so I won't.

Nevertheless, I doubt that you, or your list of worthless worthes could come up with ANY financial contribution to those in need.

If you prove me wrong I may do one of two things: apolgize, or show that those who are NOT your frame of mind contribute at least ten times as much as you and your ilk do.

Your MORON was elected twice, so was mine.

But mine was never impeached.

Speaking of Bibles: Clinton was displayed on national television carrying a Bible size of a Honda Civic. Several times. Your moron is a bigger hypocrite than mine.

You're not American, so drop the "mine", you're just a spectator, Jack.
