We need a few more interesting threads floating around. I'm tired of the whole mid-east thing, the obama thing, blah, blah, blah.

As you guys know, I've started several threads on various subjects; some serious, some jesting.

Yet, tonite I'm lazy. I know someone's got a good thread on 'em.

C'mon...

Here's some words to give you ideas:

vindication
betrayal
citizenship
courage
petty
selfish
consumption
privacy
superstitious
epic
forgiveness
financing
emo-child
passage
legendary
undiscovered

Anything?

Let us evening posters show those day walkers who really has the creative juices flowing thru their veins! :p

Okay - let's talk about something I just mentioned on another thread. 911 charges. Do you pay a monthly fee for the privilege of having the ability to have the 911 feature? I do and I wonder if all phone companies charge for this. It's not a lot but phone bills are pretty costly for what we get anyway so I have to wonder why I must pay every month for a possible emergency service feature.

I wasn't on last night, I was out watching '...Benjamin Button'. I thought it was a great movie, some of the plot items were, I thought, really inspired. I think Fitzgerald would have been pleased with the treatment his story got on route to the screen.

:angry3:Yes we do, Island, and it is aggravating. I wonder what would happen if one didn't pay for the service, but had to make an emergency call........Guess we're dyin here. But, as long as MawBell makes a buck, hey, it's all good.............:angryfire:

On my Rogers bill, there's only a 50 cent fee for the 911 ,but a 6.95 "access fee" & I can't find out what that applies to[altho suspect it's just a hidden profit source for the co.]

I figure a 911 fee is like paying for car or fire insurance. Now ... what in Sam Hill is this "debt retirement fee" on my hydro bill? They sure won't let me deduct my mortgage from their due....

You so have to run in and donate blood right now. This is going to freak them right out!

LOL! That would be fun, but I really hate needles. I would pass out!

Of course, I guess it wouldn't have mattered which method of passing out I chose.;-):p

Really? Big Mod Boss Shadow, are you really afraid of needles? I would never have guessed! What happens when you need a vaccine or blood test then?

I have never noticed a "debt retirement fee" on our hydro bill. Now tomorrow I'll have to go check it out. It is getting time to hit the kip. Tonight I don't care if the chg. is there - maybe tomorrow I will (are we talking BC Hydro here?)

Awww but can you explain the 911 fee on my Rogers USB Wireless Internet stick.. Will it help my laptop when it falls off a BC Ferry and will the Laptop know to dial 911 instead of the forced auto preset Cellular number for data only access ?

I am sure that discussing this with Rogers will be as useless as talking to the CRTC about it as it has a Cellular SIM Card inside they will "Assure Me " I could remove and use for my phone. However truth me told, a SIM card can be locked to data only just as your Cell phone does not access Data packets..

That said it is a tax write off for my business expenses so why waste my time arguying what will be a lost cause.

But it does make you wonder..
