Nah, I'd say you're close to peak for speed. But no way for stamina and strength. Teenagers are also still pretty poor at considering the consequences of their actions.

Perhaps, I wasn't considering mental or maturity attributes, which probably don't peak until one is in his 60s.

I was never one to get hung up on semantics but here it is important, both the defendant and the victim ARE GROWN MEN. Until I hear something different I'm concluding their physical abilities were equal. At 17 you would be close to your peak as far as strength and stamina are concerned.

Ah, yes, and physical maturity is all that matters. At 17 you have all the cognitive and problem solving skills of 28 year old. It's why they're allowed to vote, and drink, and all that fun stuff. Oh, wait, they're not, because they're not adults yet. Hmmmm.... odd that.

I was 6 foot tall and 185lb at age 14 and in the bars by 15. Did that make me a man or a 15 year old kid that could physically pass for 20?

I was discussing physical attributes..............the ones that cause physical damage.

Physically a man and likely able to defend yourself in most situations. Maturity who knows?

To be fair some do not reach that level till 50 or older. Some never do.

Sometimes my soccer team of 40-somethings will play kids 17 or 18, and there is no way they are as strong as us. Or think about why defencemen in the NHL take so long to to develop--they just don't have the strength at 18 to compete.

Pro-Trayvon Martin Protesters Show Commendable Restraint as Two Men Attempt to Incite Crowd With Incredibly Racist T-Shirt

While several pro-Trayvon Martin rallies across the U.S. have gotten out of control and resulted in violence, theft and property damage, a demonstration in Wichita, Kan., was peaceful and incident-free.

However, two racist guys attempted to derail that peaceful protest by showing up wearing incredibly offensive shirts. They were clearly attempting to get the crowd riled up and incite anger.

One of the two men in the video can be seen wearing a T-shirt that says, “This shirt can say n***er because it is black.”

According to the video’s description, “a group of about 20 children between the ages of 2 and 12 and about 20 more young adults were peacefully protesting racial profiling on Rock Road in front of Towne East Mall when these two grown idiots with the word N***ER in big white letters attempted to intimidate, disrupt, and incite violence.”

One of the protesters can be heard urging his fellow demonstrators, “Don’t fall for the bait, man. Don’t fall for the bait.” Fortunately for the two racist guys, they didn’t fall for the bait and the men made it safely to their car.

Wichita police were reportedly called to defuse the situation before things got out of control. The men were not arrested but ordered to be on their way.

I believe it was Rachel Jeantel (spelling uncertain). Could you fill me in? As I said, my attention to the testimony was less than complete.

So Rachel said it... a defense witness... who was on the phone with Martin before the altercation... and did not witness the altercation.

Case closed I guess.

That makes you as dangerous as a man in a fight..........which is all that matters in a discussion on self-defense.

Actually some inhere have used the word "infant" when describing Martin.
