I don't see where you jump to the conclusion that Zimmerman went hunting, as a member of the neighbourhood watch, he was doing what he was supposed to do....keep an eye on suspicious characters in the neighbourhood and call for the police ...like he did.

The bottom line is that Zimmerman followed a teenaged boy, basically for being black. Then because he followed the kid no one really knows what happened because no one was there. The kid is dead.
Now we teach our kids that strangers are not to be trusted, and so if we are followed we worry about why some stranger is after us. I think you can rest assured that Trayvon Martin wondered if Zimmerman was a sexual pervert, a robber or mugger. Martin is still dead. So the stranger was dangerous.
