If, at an older age, they still want to transition, then it's their decision - not some adult whose ideology believes there are more than 2 genders and have no inclination to examine why this person feels the way they do.

Because that's NOT why suicides don't stop after transition, and why some people have issues and a VERY small minority may transition back to the gender they were before. Also fun fact, Dix, your assumption that they were too 'young' is not correct as current day Trans adults transitioned AS adults not as kids, because when THEY were young, Trans was still a "it doesn't exist/don't talk about it/don't say anything/you're gay, not Trans" subject. Trans kids having help and care now is only a VERY recent development.
The REASON some people still take their lives after is because they thought transitioning would fix everything, and it doesn't. It's only PART of the issue. Another part are people like you in society who don't accept them even after they transition and worse people who abuse, bully, and rape them still. Another part is that all the trauma they had in their lives BEFORE transitioning just is too much and they can't take it, even when they might finally be the gender they should be. And there's more parts than that, but I'm sure you don't actually care about that, do you?
It's a complex issue, and WHY kids should get help early to help PREVENT this kind of shit.

This is from a training course on how to be respectful to trans people that is required by my work place. It not only has interesting information in it (though a bit dated), it shows WHY we have to have training in this. And why Trans people have so much issues with health care. More reasons that Trans people have issues, generally don't get the care they need and why suicide is usually something they try at least once. Thankfully the health community is stepping up and taking into consideration the issues Trans people have and doing what they can to change and help them.

Weirdly, the average wait time in an Emergency Department I’d (from the three times I’ve had to endure it in the last decade) assume exceeds 7 hours….& everybody eventually has to go through this…so the next time anyone has to go to Emergency if they can receive the overall curricula was dedicated to knowledge and skills for competent LGBT2-SQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Two Spirited, Queer individuals) health care and come out hopefully with treatment for their situation and certification for the above. Score x 2!!
The Trans Friend we have, the rule of thumb that seems to work is just treat others like you wanna be treated and so far so good…but a certificate is a certificate and what the Hell…if you’ve got at least 7 hours of downtime waiting for emergency medical treatment anyway…If they could start this coarse in Emergency Waiting Rooms, inside of a decade, the population of Canada might end up certified.

I stand corrected. I figured if it was something that was open to everybody for certification…and it took seven hours or less…& everyone eventually cycles through the emergency department of a hospital, The bulk of the population could end up certified within the next decade.
