I really don't understand what the issue is. It's common sense and parents should be entitled to know what is being taught in schools. Besides, they're not saying no to "sex Ed" just that it shouldn't start with K to grade 3. Nothing like confusing young ones with "gender" issues & sex issues at that age - they grow up fast enough as it is. At the very least, wait until they can understand what this is actually all about. They're "kiddlets" for heavens sake!! What the hell is the hurry?

First off, parents are entitled to know what's being taught in schools. Period.

As to the rest, were public schools appropriate venues for teaching racial equality? If so, then why are they not appropriate venues for teaching that gay or lesbian or bi or trans is just different, not inferior?

Not shocked by that admission.

Sure, but this isn't just parents being told what's being taught in schools now, is it?

Agreed - prove that between K and grade 3 that this was an issue to begin with?

Nothing like confusing young ones with "gender" issues & sex issues at that age - they grow up fast enough as it is.

Yes, because heaven forbid that a gay or trans or lesbian or gender neutral kid who knows by age 8 that they're 'different' not learn about that difference... kid's just imagining it anyway, right Dix?

At the very least, wait until they can understand what this is actually all about.

I am sure that if you ask even teens that at a young age, did they know they were 'different', the majority will answer 'yes'. Being able to understand when they realized they were 'different' would have helped them... shame that adults are such chickenshits to actually talk to kids like they're people.

They're "kiddlets" for heavens sake!! What the hell is the hurry?

Kiddlets... oh FFS, some of these kids are going through a hell YOU could never imagine, that will only get worse, because DeSantis is a fucking chickenshit, ignorant asshole.

It's mostly all B.S. which is why parents need to know what's going on. Did you not see the video of a parent at a school board meeting reading books that were being used in K - 6 (?) about sex and gender? I was mortified that that was what was being taught which is why the parents were so enraged.

You are entitled to believe the B.S. - I personally do not. It's all a matter of engagement and age appropriateness that is at issue.

Parents only care when it offends their sensibilities, otherwise, teachers get paid too much to babysit their kids!!! Why don't they do their fucking jobs!!! (that's sarcasm, in case you don't know)

No, I didn't. I've seen a lot of videos about parents going ape shit over books, sure, but that's not proof that, in K through grade 3, that sex and gender are being taught. Just because a library has a book, doesn't mean it's being taught.

I was mortified that that was what was being taught which is why the parents were so enraged.

You're mortified that the world doesn't revolve around you so...

And what BS is that?

Holy shit, I agree with you!

So tell me, when an 8 year old KNOWS that they are 'not like others' when it comes to their gender, is it okay THEN to talk about it with them?

What about when the kid is six? Seven?

You're assuming teachers are going all out porno on kids when talking sex and gender.

Which means you're absolutely disgusting if that's your first thought when it comes to the subjects.

How about when they're adult enough to make their own decisions?

Because when they're adult, they don't look like the gender they are, then jerks like, well, some here on this forum, will then continue to make life hell for them and drive to things that shouldn't happen.

Whereas if kids can be accepted as the gender they are, and at least start processes to help that identity, that means LESS issues in the future.

BTW, I'm curious as to how you feel about this?

The THIRD bomb threat against the hospital for offering trans gender care, and no it's NOT surgery like the fucksticks who started this shit think, it's just helping kids deal with the issue of gender care.

Are you for or against this kind'a shit?

I'm sure the assholes who throw out these bomb threats have no fucking clue how it affects a hospital; they're just trying to kill the trannys or some bullshit. Nevermind that some of these kids might come out of this with more issues than just dysphoria...

The Disney brand is serious trouble, there is a hiring freeze and layoffs are announced, funny how a family orientated company would lose mass amounts of business by advocating for non-family orientated communities

And what "non-family orientated community" is Disney advocating for again?
