Because when they're adult, they don't look like the gender they are, then jerks like, well, some here on this forum, will then continue to make life hell for them and drive to things that shouldn't happen.

Whereas if kids can be accepted as the gender they are, and at least start processes to help that identity, that means LESS issues in the future.

BTW, I'm curious as to how you feel about this?

The THIRD bomb threat against the hospital for offering trans gender care, and no it's NOT surgery like the fucksticks who started this shit think, it's just helping kids deal with the issue of gender care.

Are you for or against this kind'a shit?

I'm sure the assholes who throw out these bomb threats have no fucking clue how it affects a hospital; they're just trying to kill the trannys or some bullshit. Nevermind that some of these kids might come out of this with more issues than just dysphoria...
Wow , you do understand that the Babylon Bee is a parody site I hope .

The one that doesn't know if they are boys or girls or bears or foxes

So... Disney supports the trans community and thus they're "not family orientated"? Pretty sure Trans people have families.

Don't know where your "bears or foxes" BS comes from though.

If the Alphabet community is family orientated Disney should be flush with cash instead of being strapped for it

Didn't know you were into that stuff, TM. But advertising it is kind'a gross, y'know. Keep it to yourself, dude.

And your assumptions are ignorant AF. You do realize Disney is a corporation like any other, and they sometimes AREN'T flush with cash? Likely they aren't because going to Disney World or any of it's theme parks is EXPENSIVE, and people aren't going. Has nothing to do with who they "support". A lot of Disney cash is made off their branch stuff, like all the effin' movies.

Except for their animation movies, that department has been having issues for a few years now. Before their "support of non-family orientated" stuff.

So what was the excuse then?

If transitioning is so wonderful, why aren't the suicide rates going down for these individuals? It's because they were too young to understand what was happening to them & adults have simply catered to their "whims" at the moment, then regret they ever did the transitioning. That's why nothing should be done with kids until they're at LEAST 18 and have some knowledge behind them. Adults making the decision aren't necessarily making things better - in fact, they're making things worse. I feel for these people - they need help.

If, at an older age, they still want to transition, then it's their decision - not some adult whose ideology believes there are more than 2 genders and have no inclination to examine why this person feels the way they do.

It's disgusting this is happening to our kids & anyone apologizing for it or enabling the transition of minors should be (figuratively) shot! We need to protect our kids, not abuse them.

Do you want an answer?

It's because they were too young to understand what was happening to them & adults have simply catered to their "whims" at the moment, then regret they ever did the transitioning.

Well, evidently not.

Because that's NOT why suicides don't stop after transition, and why some people have issues and a VERY small minority may transition back to the gender they were before. Also fun fact, Dix, your assumption that they were too 'young' is not correct as current day Trans adults transitioned AS adults not as kids, because when THEY were young, Trans was still a "it doesn't exist/don't talk about it/don't say anything/you're gay, not Trans" subject. Trans kids having help and care now is only a VERY recent development.

The REASON some people still take their lives after is because they thought transitioning would fix everything, and it doesn't. It's only PART of the issue. Another part are people like you in society who don't accept them even after they transition and worse people who abuse, bully, and rape them still. Another part is that all the trauma they had in their lives BEFORE transitioning just is too much and they can't take it, even when they might finally be the gender they should be. And there's more parts than that, but I'm sure you don't actually care about that, do you?

It's a complex issue, and WHY kids should get help early to help PREVENT this kind of shit.

That's why nothing should be done with kids until they're at LEAST 18 and have some knowledge behind them.

See above about this being a complex issue.

Adults making the decision aren't necessarily making things better - in fact, they're making things worse. I feel for these people - they need help.

Yes, they do, they needed help at an earlier age. They need people like YOU to fuck off, stop judging them and if you can't say something nice, don't say nothing at all. The KIDS need people like you to fuck off and stop teaching other kids that it's okay to hate on Trans people because they're faking it or crazy or going against God and that only God can heal them, or whatever other fucking sadistic thing parents are telling their "oh so perfectly normal" shits to bully Trans kids over.

If, at an older age, they still want to transition, then it's their decision - not some adult whose ideology believes there are more than 2 genders and have no inclination to examine why this person feels the way they do.

Your ignorance about this entire subject is outstanding. Do some actual research on HOW kids are helped in Trans Care centers instead of relying on right wing lies for once.

Here, I'll even help you.

And for ADULTS

It's disgusting this is happening to our kids & anyone apologizing for it or enabling the transition of minors should be (figuratively) shot! We need to protect our kids, not abuse them.

First, unless you have a Trans kid, it's not happening to YOUR kid and you should STFU about what other parents are doing to help their kids. Second, apologizing for it or enabling transition for kids is actually HELPING them, not hurting them. Instead, you are all for abusing them by NOT helping these trans kids, by thinking that somehow they will magically be okay if they just wait until they're an adult (Trans care isn't GRS and Transitioning is more than getting parts cut off) and continuing ignorance instead of actually educating yourself on what Trans kids deal with on a day to day basis and how Trans Care centers work.

The only people needing to be "figuratively" shot are those who think Trans kids need to be bullied, abused, raped and pushed to suicide because they won't listen to what the kids are saying.

For more info on trans people and suicides:

https://www.mentalhealthcommission.ca/wp-content/uploads/drupal/2019-05/Transgender people and suicide fact sheet.pdf --- this one has a "What can reduce risk" and it says "complete medical transition IF MEDICAL TRANSITION IS DESIRED" which is great to point out because not all trans people want to have GRS and Joe Public needs to realize that.

Now I know you likely won't look at any of the above, Dix, but if ever you DO feel like maybe just educating yourself, it's there.

And another shooting at a GLBT+ club.

But you can't understand why suicides don't stop for Trans people?

Damn right. We'll impose YOUR ideology that there are only two genders, and you clearly have no inclination to examine anything beyond your dogma.

This is from a training course on how to be respectful to trans people that is required by my work place. It not only has interesting information in it (though a bit dated), it shows WHY we have to have training in this. And why Trans people have so much issues with health care. More reasons that Trans people have issues, generally don't get the care they need and why suicide is usually something they try at least once. Thankfully the health community is stepping up and taking into consideration the issues Trans people have and doing what they can to change and help them.

"Some transgender (Trans) individuals are not seeking health care because of fear of discrimination and previous negative experiences with health care.

For example, according to the Trans Needs Assessment Report published by the Canadian AIDS Society in 2014, 19% of respondents had not revealed their gender identity to any of their health care providers. Two of the most pressing needs respondents identified were to have better access to respectful and Trans-competent health care of all kinds, as well as greater public education (Source: Scruton, 2014).

Often, Trans individuals have been required to teach health care workers about their health issues and needs.

Lack of knowledge and familiarity on the part of doctors often created the need for people to educate doctors not only about what Trans people were, but also about what kinds of healthcare needs they might have; this could lead to deep resentment. (Source: McPhail, Rountree-James, Whetter, 2016).

Members of the Trans community have even been harassed and refused care and service in health care settings.

An estimated 21% of Trans Ontarians have avoided going to the Emergency Department. Of those who accessed the Emergency Department while expressing a gender different from their birth-assigned sex, 52% had experienced negative treatment due to being Trans, ranging from insulting or demeaning language to outright refusal of care. (Source: Giblon and Bauer, 2017).

Health care employees have identified challenges in offering services to Trans clients.

A recent survey of 132 American and Canadian medical schools found that on average, only 7 hours of the overall curricula was dedicated to knowledge and skills for competent LGBT2-SQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Two Spirited, Queer individuals) health care. (Source: Lim, Brown & Kim, 2014)

It is vital that all health care staff be educated on how to provide respectful care and service to the Trans population. In addition to healthcare providers, front desk staff, nursing staff, lab and x-ray staff, etc. are often on the front lines of patient care. Training on transgender health issues should be provided to all clinic staff and providers. (Source: Deutsch, MB, 2016).

Bill C-16 became law in Canada on June 19, 2017. The bill adds gender expression and identity to the list of prohibited grounds of discrimination in the Canadian Human Rights Act and also to the Criminal Code of Canada. Bill-51 became law in New Brunswick on May 5, 2017. The bill also adds gender expression and identity protection to the NB Human Rights Act."

Weirdly, the average wait time in an Emergency Department I’d (from the three times I’ve had to endure it in the last decade) assume exceeds 7 hours….& everybody eventually has to go through this…so the next time anyone has to go to Emergency if they can receive the overall curricula was dedicated to knowledge and skills for competent LGBT2-SQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Two Spirited, Queer individuals) health care and come out hopefully with treatment for their situation and certification for the above. Score x 2!!

The Trans Friend we have, the rule of thumb that seems to work is just treat others like you wanna be treated and so far so good…but a certificate is a certificate and what the Hell…if you’ve got at least 7 hours of downtime waiting for emergency medical treatment anyway…If they could start this coarse in Emergency Waiting Rooms, inside of a decade, the population of Canada might end up certified.

This training is for employees, not Joe Public; it reads like you think this is something everyone does. It's not.

I posted it moreso to give an idea of training health staff have to do, and why we do it.

I stand corrected. I figured if it was something that was open to everybody for certification…and it took seven hours or less…& everyone eventually cycles through the emergency department of a hospital, The bulk of the population could end up certified within the next decade.

You don't get human rights until you're 18.
