I didn't realize there were 2 threads on this subject..........

Kaepernick files grievance against NFL owners for collusion

Kaepernick has filed a grievance under the collective bargaining agreement against NFL team owners for collusion, reports Mike Freeman of Bleacher Report.

Kaepernick has hired high-profile attorney Mark Geragos and is preparing to release a statement about his grievance soon, added Freeman.

The free-agent quarterback has remained unemployed since opting out of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers in March and has garnered little interest from teams around the league.

This has caused some to suggest he's being blackballed for his national anthem protests during the 2016 season.

Kaepernick appeared in 12 games for 49ers in 2016, throwing for 2,241 yards with 16 touchdowns to four interceptions.

His 90.7 passer rating ranked 17th in the league, ahead of 10 quarterbacks who were starters going into the 2017 season.

The whole thing is remarkable in its detachment from reality.

The left is shrieking about the First Amendment as if the NFL and the teams are governments.

The right is calling for mass firings as if you can find NFL-quality players by putting an ad in the newspaper.

The fans are all up in arms. OK, sez I, let's do that. Let's fire all our players who protest and replace them with the also-rans who weren't good enough to get drafted. We'll be 0-16, but bah Gawd, we'll be Making America Great Agin!

You don't need NFL "status" players
players with heart will satisfy most fans...look at the popularity of college ball

The NFL is detached from the reality of REAL sports, like Rugby or Aussie Footie.

The right is calling for what was usually a Leftoid strategy.......
Boycott the NFL games until the players concentrate on playing football instead of politics.............

The best fix is just to stop playing the national anthem at sports events.

Any real fan will tell you they are actually going to the bathroom when the anthem plays. No one seems to care about that.

and under heading "careful what you wish for" The Daily Stormer has just named Papa John's the Pizza of the Nazis.

Im sure that will help those sales Papa John's is so worried about.
