Ummmm... it's Massachusetts... not Alabama. You probably find just as many ND fans as you would BC fans. And the only reason why you find ND fans is because they have an Irish last name.

Back to ND. I was at a pub when the ND vs. Miami game was coming on and the guy next to me was pumped for the revival. He told me he was a big ND fan. I said...
"Oh? What part of Indiana are you from?"
"Ummm.... I'm not from Indiana. My family have always been Notre Dame fans."
"Let me guess... you have an Irish last name."

He did actually go to one game out in South Bend so he said which is unusual for the local ND fans.
