What do you think I am a clairvoyant? First of all you have to evaluate your genes. Them, you are stuck with. I think with mine I could reasonably expect to see 80. Then it's all lifestyle, the most important part of which is attitude and exercise, and then you may gain a couple of more years by not smoking, eating right (most of the time) limit drunks to 3 or 4 times a year and then you can add a couple of more years by not doing stupid things like not wearing your seat belt or life jackets in the boat. So now I figure I'm good for 90 and little bit of luck will put me up to 100. :lol::lol::lol:

Ooooooooh, if that's the case they have a good manager working on it. A good investment at say 9% will double in 8 years, BUT, 9% is also a risky investment. Of course there are a lot who work for 35 to 40 just to drop dead a year or two later. Those are the ones the money managers are counting on. I know when I started paying in in 1966 the premiums were $79 a year, when I retired in '99 over $1000 a year. Of course of that money you collect in 3 years quite a bit may go back in taxes. Then there are the ones (probably very few) who put off withdrawing until they are 70. Does anyone know of a site that shows the annual intake vs. the annual payout?

How would you classify a public, post-secondary institution? I suppose it's primarily private, however it is government subsidized. That's my primary job.

My second job is funded by municipal taxes, but it is also supplemented by grants from the province. It's also funded by late fees, not sure how you'd classify that!
