That is why he is sending 4000 more troops? Can you not see the absurdity in that?
He can't get out of Afghanistan.

Of course I can see the absurdity, so can a lot of voters in the US.
They voted to get out of foreign wars.
Everyone else in Washington wants the wars to continue.

They haven't finished plundering all the resources and Big Pharma still needs all those poppies.

Come on man, Pharma already got much better stuff than poppies.
It's small time drugs. ;)

There is an epidemic of opium addiction to prescription drugs like Oxycontin. Most painkiller prescription drugs are based on opium. When the Taliban outlawed opium poppy growing, the US invaded and poppy production soared.

I thought that was what trump was doing?
"Trump explained that the biggest victim in the Charlottesville violence last weekend was, in fact, himself."

Google something like 'afghanistan minerals', trillions of $$$$.

Just sad to see more Americans are going to die for it.

It is the old story. The Dumpster does not want to be the "President who lost Afghanistan." I doubt Afghanistan has any resources that other nations cannot supply as well.

Prime Minister Theresa May has rebuked US President Donald Trump for suggesting suspects in Friday's London train blast were known to police.

"I never think it's helpful for anybody to speculate on what is an ongoing investigation," she said.

In a tweet, Mr Trump described the attackers as "loser terrorists" and "sick and demented people who were in the sights of Scotland Yard".

In a phone call with Mrs May on Friday, Mr Trump "pledged to continue close collaboration with the United Kingdom to stop attacks worldwide targeting innocent civilians and to combat extremism", the White House said.

A Downing Street spokesman said he also offered "his condolences over this morning's cowardly attack in London", which he described to reporters earlier as "a terrible thing".
