Without anyone specifically, this and and any other thread: Those of you who drop off single, incoherent sentences with no previous reference are like a stray dog dropping his dropping on any street corner or on anyone's lawn.

Pollution. Crap. Try to change your attitude. A few extra keystrokes WILL NOT hurt you.

Is it not the same as telling a black person to stop mixing fried chicken with watermelon?

Ageism? Racism? What the Hell is the Difference???

Simple:
Ageism: To degrade or stereotype someone because of their age
Racism: '' '' race (country)
See the difference?

So, according to your definition racism is degrade or streotype someone because of their race.

And WHEN DID I DO THAT?

She was in Hawaii on vacation - not too far into her pregnancy. Sad to say she miscarried. She and her gainfully employed spouse went to a hospital . It promtley spit her out because she didn't have the 'right ' kind of insurance. Forget the fact that she was a woman miscarrying, no, she wasn't cover'd by an acceptable carrier (they were covered by Manitoba health care). No, they made a miscarrying woman find her own way to another hospital. So there she was, showing up at one of your emergency rooms, not scared of anything other than the fact that she might be loosing her baby (as she's just a visitor from Canada and had more interest in the wonders of Hawaii rather than immigration to an un-healthcare friendly' Country)
Get over yourself!

Now there are some people who want to look at what we have here and brand it souless Communism or socialism - me? I just call it doing unto others as I would have done to myself.

Let me describe to you the flip side of it, Downhome Woman. A few weeks ago an American tourist came to the emergency department here with premature labour pains. She needed a caesarian. The medical team (obstetrician, a medical assistant, my wife and an anesthetist, along with assorted nurses) promptly went into action and performed the Caesarian for her, they didn’t even ask what kind of medical insurance she had.

After her Caesarian, she told them that she did indeed have medical insurance and gave the name and address of the insurance company. My wife sent the bill to the insurance company.

But I think that is the general attitude in Canada. Provide emergency treatment first, ask questions later. It can be different in many places in USA.

And yet you can't spell correctly? A few CORRECT keystrokes wouldn't hurt you. Look, I type at 80 WPM with 100% accuracy... :|

Show some consideration, krazedkat. Yukon Jack may be rude, obnoxious and hold extremist opinions on many subjects, but English is his second language. It is reasonable to expect that he is going to make mistakes (he does become outraged if anybody points out his mistakes, though).

Yes , the old fart would probably be much more accurately obnoxious in his mother tongue.

Americans believe that they come from the greatest country on earth.
Canadians know that they come from the greatest country on earth.

Seriously, about the flag pin thing, a friend of mine served with the Canadian Forces in Cyprus, and they used to go swimming and sunning on the beaches there; they would wear the skimpiest speedos hey could find, but would always pin a large maple leasf button to it. Why? "So we wouldn't get shot by the natives".

So the words come out fast and accurate, but what good is that if they don't make any sense? It helps if from a collection of words you get an intelligent idea.

Nope, wrong.
