.......The "Virgil Flowers" books by John Sandford. Easy reads. They don't make my head hurt. Actually figured out who the bad guy was in one of them. Lots of action and some sex too. Just like the bible.
Re-reading "Stranger in a Strange Land" by Robert A. Heinlein. Heinlein's original publisher demanded that twenty percent had to be cut out of the book. After he died, Heinlein's wife republished the book with the cut-out material put back in. It is not the same book. If
you haven't read the uncut version, it is well worth the read.
Heinlein is wonderful!!
Another book I have not read in 40 years.....I should re-read.
Ever notice that Heinlein, despite his talent, has serious trouble ending a story??
Janet Evanovich is a favorite of ours as well. We were disappointed with 18, but really enjoyed Notorious Nineteen. At the moment I am reading a book about Canadian women who have killed. Interesting but not earth shaking. She has many good books, I am reading Mercy right now but have read a lot of hers. I also like Janet Evanovich.
J.K. Rowling's Casual Vacancy. So far it's a lot like this board.
