I'm sure you are right, but there is that little inconvenience of being very wet, so I pick things that
keep me dry, and the only bit of moisture is a little sweat.
I only like to do my hair once a day if possible, don't have that perfect hair
that is thick, dries perfectly right into place, my hair has to be 'worked' every
time I do it, takes a little time before it looks nice.

These are little inconveniences in life that I try to avoid as much as possible.

You COULD invest in a bathing cap................:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Aw you guys ....

The best exercise is eating - if that isn't done on a regular basis the whole system is shot.

Besides it's my favorite.

Hah! The best exercise is pooping. EVERYTHING is crappy if you can't poop.

Best exercise is tree climbing, hands down. Involves all the benefits of walking - getting from tree to tree - and the climbing itself works every muscle that swimming would, and then some. Plus it incorporates balance as well as cognitive - planning and problem solving.

Wanna get fit, climb trees.

And better still if you can climb one with all the limbs near the top.

Dunno about that but I think running in heels is harder on my hands. lol It isn't a graceful sight.

Gel packs in my Hogans is probably quite easy on my knees and I don't fall when running in them.

Actually running in sneakers is harder on your knees - recent study out - best to run barefoot if you can - so all those expensive sneakers multi-gadget promise filled are just that - expensive - you will see a revolutionary design coming in the next few years - and of course they will be expensive.

I do run barefoot sometimes. Depends on my route. But like I said, low knee impact from Hogans with gel packs in them.

Me i hate running - did that in the Army that along with bad back - 2 knees shot - so I walk - My work entails lots of walking if a person wants to and some days I can put 10-15 k on - relaxed walk for the most part - next thing is the quit smoking - trying again in Sep

i will take up biking again . I also keep busy with yard work - repairs - etc - work up a sweat and get the heartbeat up -
Then of course a cold beer.

If you are interested in pursuing outdoor activities, you may consider joining an outdoor club. I belong to an outdoor club, they organize hiking, canoeing, biking, camping (both summer and winter) and several other activities besides.

I am interested only in hiking, but if you like other activities as well, you should find out if there is an outdoor club in your area and consider joining it. These activities are much more fun if done in a group.

And there is nothing wrong in downing a few cold beers after 30 km of hiking.
