Just returned from a weekend in The Great Satan.....traveled to Providence RI to see the band Jethro Tull. Great concert! Then went bar-to-bar, got completely incoherently drunk, had a GREAT time, lost my Tull t-shirts........when we got back to the hotel at 3 am leaning on each other, the hotel clerk said "You guys the Canadians?" (I guess it was obvious) The bartender had picked up the t-shirts, remembered we were Canadian and that we stayed at the place down the road, and called to tell us to come get them the next day........
Wonderful people.
Another thing I noticed.....the I-95 has unmanned rest centres with nice heated washrooms, vending machines, phones every 50 miles or so.....I fear that in rural NB the restrooms would be totaled, the vending machines smashed and robbed, the phones ripped apart, and probably the building burned to the ground.....just for the hell of it........believe it or not, I think that the people of Maine, NH, Mass., RI are MORE mannerly in general than Canadians.
Yeah, I like Americans.
