What is your favourite thing about the U.S.?

They use the same monetary system.
They drive on the same side of the road.
They have a positive attitude (for the most part).

I love California and the warm climate. Nothing is better than Canada in my opinion, but

our weather is a little on the cold side, yeah I know, on Vancouver Island I shouldn't be

whining, but I have spent past Januarys and Februarys in California, and it was great,

even San Francisco can be very warm in the winter from time to time. Arizona is nice too,

but I enjoy being near the ocean, although the desert is nice to visit for awhile.

I love the California coast too, but don't try to rent a room in Carmel at 1am. All the lights are off.

We walked all through Carmel, sat on the beach for awhile, took some pictures, but
the whole town oozes 'money', I could never have stayed there unless I slept on the
beach, Clint Eastwood was mayor at that time, I think he still lives there.

Stood on the 18th green at Pebble Beach, how beautiful it is there.

I like everything north of L.A., drove through there once, and on down to san Diego,
won't do that again, just not interesting.

My favourite thing about the US is that it's good confusing the Yanks with the rules of cricket. Trying to explain what LBW is, or what a wicket is, or what the difference is between a yorkie and a googly, or trying to explain the bowling arts of spin or off-spin.

I just think it builds way too much animosity. A little friendly rivalry never hurt but obsessing over it is just silly.
