Holiday season is here and soon we'll all be having loads of fun.

As for that pumpkin pie that I made, since it was a large one, I cut it into four pieces and baked it again. This time it came out nice and brown. I'm hoping that it will have a good toasty flavor with that second cooking. Tomorrow, I'll have one such piece with my morning coffee and see for sure ...

Dinner tonight = chicken/rice soup with mixed veggies

sweet yams (topped with honey-butter)
chocolate cake (topped with cool whip & pecans)

Had bourbon chicken over jasmine rice with roast carrots. it was delicious.

This is the recipe I like the most. I think it would also be stupendous with pork in a pulled pork sandwich kind of way.

Looking forward to trying an experiment tomorrow for supper. My wife makes a fried roast beef on a kaiser that would make you want to walk through a snowstorm just to wait in line for an hour to get one.
We have some left over pork roast so she's going to fry some of it up and slap it on a couple of kaisers for me.

Wish I could give you 100 greenies for that one.

Can you believe I had chicken over jasmine rice with grated parsnips but with white wine rather than bourbon!!!

Unfortunately, I have only a small amount of leftovers for tomorrow. But it sure will be tasty! :)

hmmm, that sounds really good too.

I think that if someone is going to post a delicious dinner that a link to a recipe should be in given too.

There is nothing worse then someone telling you about something so delicious but not having the recipe on hand to share.

Even if it's just a best guess at ingredient quantities with that disclaimer. I love sharing good recipes. I wish others would do the same (hint hint :)

So here is my favourite recipe for Bourbon banana bread. Its sooooo good. It's the only Banana bread I make now.

Update: The fried roast pork on a kaiser with Swiss cheese was freakin' awesome. Tried another experiment for yesterday's dinner. A roast pork omelet with extra-old cheddar cheese and mushrooms, with a nice drizzle of pork gravy over top. All I can say is, I'm a culinary genius

You know most folks I've asked don't like brussel sprouts. I always did tastes like little cabbages.

I think for some folks, it takes time to acquire a taste, apparently. I love them and they are a very healthy food.
